@ronmortgageguy For someone who is renewing their mortgage in 2 months, what do you suggest?
Short term fixed and look for an early renewal? Or variable and try to time the conversion to fixed?
This looks like fun! I'll play too!! Hey @grok
who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.
@Fiat_iceberg I live in Pickering and the 338 polling shows the riding going to the Liberals. Informal Facebook polls in the neighborhood groups show overwhelming Conservative support.
Itโs interesting especially because Facebook users skew much older as well.
@rob_siglio@ronmortgageguy@HilaryWollis Rob, I agree that young families worry about climate change but there is an order here. Young families want and need to be economically prosperous first. Then and only then, will you get buy in to the climate change agenda.
@BenRabidoux Even if the absolute numbers were the same, but the growth wasnโt so one country dominated, Canadians wouldnโt be as opposed.
This government has totally broken the temp resident and immigration program.
@Fiat_iceberg@MikePMoffatt Not to the same scale obviously, but wouldnโt we have some form of that in Canada as well - with the reported undercounting of temporary residents?
@MikePMoffatt As silly as this might seem, I want to hear the government openly say, โwe screwed up and take responsibility for the housing crisis we are inโ
Admitting fault will go a long way in regaining public trust and getting buy in to solve housing.
@altruafinancial I think - but could be wrong - that the BOC is much more sensitive this time around to the consumer psychology aspect of potential rate cuts; and what that could do to future inflation.
@FinEconGlobal Similar story with me and my principle residence insurance. My premium went up 23% with no claim history.
I shopped around and it looked as though every provider raised premiums significantly.
