#FoodFriday
America is fixing its metabolic health through radical dietary modification.
The new food pyramid focuses on proteins and fats.
This is commendable.
This is the way forward.
However, hospitals and pharma have not commented on this good step. They are mute.
My people, have you seen the news on what nestle has been doing in Kenya?
Nestle has allegedly been adding extra sugar to baby food sold in Africa, especially in Kenya.
That’s one of the reasons why we’ve been taking food samples to labs.
Because there’s a lot happening that most people never hear about.
For example few months ago this year, I was told mercury-contaminated sugar entered Kenya.
Some labs flagged it. Then came the threats. Their licenses were on the line. The whole thing got buried fast and no one knew it . And the sugar was sold.
And now this? Nestlé making kenyan babies addicted to sugar?
And kebs has never flagged them out
It’s heartbreaking.
But Africans shouldn't & have never been helpless.
My people, normalize breastfeeding. Normalize preparing real food: mashed potatoes, rice, greens. We don’t need Nestlé to raise strong African children.
We need truth, vigilance, and each other.
This is not a banana. There is some shit going on over here. Have had this banana out in the open for over a week and nothing. No flies or ants interested and it’s not rotting. @KEBS_ke when did we start importing plastic bananas?
Now, here’s what the results show so far for two samples, Mumias and Naivas, for arsenic and chromium :
- Both Mumias and Naivas sugar recorded extremely low levels of arsenic and chromium, less than 0.01 mg/kg.
- According to WHO standards, these are considered well within safe limits.
The results for lead and other toxic compounds aren't out yet, but we'll share once they are, as well as results for the other two brands.
My people, good mid-morning.
As promised, let me share with you the latest lab results from the sugar testing exercise we began a few weeks ago. This work is about one thing: knowing what we are really consuming and protecting our families from silent harm. 👇
We collected samples of Mumias, kabras, Nutramax, and Naivas sugar from different outlets
The samples were submitted to independent laboratories for full analysis.
We tested for heavy metals, arsenic, chromium, lead & others, because these compounds can cause long-term health risks (cancer, kidney failure, neurological disorders). Everyone deserves to know what’s in their food.
