Golden Gate Electric Vehicle Association is a non-profit org promoting electric vehicles - They are fun to drive, cost less to operate, & zero emission.
You're doing all you can to cut your carbon footprint; then a gas leak produces 18,000 annual cars' worth of methane in a single hour, and you despair.
THIS is why your climate shadow is so much more impt than your footprint. We need systemic soln's. https://t.co/FZelu9sjmK
Just your daily reminder that Putin can’t stop the wind from blowing or the sun from shining. If ever there were a reminder of the hidden cost of our continued reliance on fossil fuels, it is what is playing out on the world stage right now.
#ClimateCrisis#decarbonization
Today's declaration from the WH banning Russian oil is, potentially, a turning point for the world.
If we use it to wean ourselves off fossil fuel fast, as Biden says we will, then we can take on both despots and climate destruction.
It may be a day historians look back on

Just got about 50mi of free charge. Thank you @voltaevcharge for the free juice. A gas equivalent would be about $15 or more. If anyone was thinking about switching to an EV, now is the time.
Let's make 2022 the year we say goodbye to polluting fossil fuels and hello to a renewable energy future. 🛢️⛔☀️✅ #ClimateSafeCA

The advantages of driving electric were recognized a century ago. We can enjoy those advantages now while helping to mitigate climate change with the many models available with 21st century technology and features.
Last July's state-of-the-art modeling Vibrant study showed that California ratepayers would save $120 billion over next 20 years by optimizing local energy, #rooftopsolar & pairing it w/storage. This will not happen for sure with CPUC #NEM decision. @GavinNewsom#SaveSolar
EV’s navigation systems know where public charging is located and how many charging spots are open. The drivers phone also will show where public charging is located. Your regulars may simply be repeating a petroleum industry talking point against EVs
@mark_phelan@evchels@johnvoelcker@ElectrifyAm@evgonetwork@freep People say they need to see more public charging but once they get an EV they rarely use them because most folks have a cheaper place to charge already. Their garage. The goal should be ubiquitous home and workplace charging. $$ 4 Multifamily & workplace not scattershot public.
@AirResources Be like Norway: The Party Leader debate for the election. They are asked to give their best solution for combatting climate change. The moderator opened by saying «and you are not allowed to talk about fantasy technologies like hydrogen. We are talking 2030 here»
This is happening at the Chevron Refinery in Richmond CA right now and no shelter in place sirens have gone off. If you live in the area close your doors and windows, get your children and pets inside, and call the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to report 800-334-6367
Charge at home. Overnight. Wide awake. Waiting for morning. That’s one of the wonderful things about the all-electric Taycan. A full charge every time you leave the garage. Something tells us that will be often.
In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth today we are proud to highlight Denée Evans! Denée is the Transportation Services project manager for the City of Richmond. Throughout her career she has advocated for more sustainable and equitable transportation options.
