@bendbadgersteve@sentdefender It’s not a HMMWV, it’s a JLTV or M1281 Close Combat Weapons Carrier (CCWC).
Humvees have been phased out of combat for front line units.
@prezalar@TheDeadDistrict ERA would be redundant because the armor underneath has NERA, I’m gonna assume those are plates meant to simulate extra weight but I’m not too sure
@goodname100@CerebralCereal0 @XLB_God Sig Sauer is Swiss, not German. SIG that made the M17 and M7 broke off from the Swiss branch more than 20 years ago. US military does use German weapons but those two are not it
@timishigh@chckrbordx57@Kathleen_Tyson_@infantrydort Eisenhower was a member of the army while Cooper is a member of the navy, different traditions and standards. Maybe the navy encourages to wear more, especially during formal settings.
@jfksburneracc@sentdefender (2/2) The Blackhawk is getting replaced because it’s too slow for INDOPACOM. MV-75 is faster, carries more troop and cargo. Big army is gearing up for potential conflict with China.
@jfksburneracc@sentdefender (1/2) Yeah. Unlike on the osprey where the entire engine and rotor assembly tilt, the engine is fixed on the MV-75 and only the rotors and gearboxes tilt. It’s way more simpler.
