@itsolelehmann Ah yes, but if it makes people healthier and they live longer, they can buy stuff like adult diapers for longer. And if they get the muscle wasting that comes with GLP1s, then they can pay for elder care and attendants for all of those extra years. I prefer exercise to GLPs.

@itsolelehmann There’s already ways to flag this type of material through community notes or with AI flags. The Q is what do the platforms do with it once it’s flagged. 1 strike and you’re out would fix the problem quickly, but my guess is that if they drive views the platforms won’t stop it

@nabeelqu Also, protect your joints from wearing out, so you can enjoy the extra yrs pain free. Good shoes (orthotics if needed) & keep hips & knees strong to save feet, knees, hips and back. Good posture with electronics & keep upper back strong to save neck & shoulders from arthritis.

@petergyang 100%. Free speech maximalism - but only for non-anonymous humans who live in my own country. Should be zero free speech protections for bots and malicious foreign actors. Unmasked humans who may suffer irl consequences for their words behave better. Skin in the game matters.

@conorsen Hopefully at least they can try more regional pursuits like surfing, climbing or mtn biking. If they never try physically demanding, slightly dangerous and in a spot that allows for soaking in the beauty of nature, they won’t realize the blandness of pickleball and golf.

Algos tell us what to think about, then AI automates our thoughts. Humans become I/O nodes. Nobody seems to notice because $$$ keeps optimizing for ‘engagement’ (addiction).

Mass disengagement and return to analog/irl is only solution.
