Congrats on Omarchy @dhh! It's something else, gave my old overheated Windows laptop a new life. And after stubbornly refusing to learn the keyboard shortcuts, I had Claude build me a mouse-based auto-tiler. That's the magic: it's an OS you can shape it into something that's personally useful 🙏

Today, SBU and @BrookhavenLab demonstrated a wireless quantum link, transmitting quantum information through open air across 13 miles.
This first U.S. demonstration of its kind marks a milestone for quantum networking beyond fiber-optic cables.

Ah got it, someone else will know more about this but converting probably involves switching to log space and reconstructing clamped details in highlights and dark values. Generating HDR from scratch might be a different beast - if it was trained on HDR footage it's likely a bigger and slower model
Anyone who works in post production works with exrs and 12+ bit footage as it holds a much higher dynamic range than the mp4s models have been generating until now. Less compression artifacts too. Means AI clips can be integrated better with real footage and colour corrected. Log output would also be nice!
One of the most anticipated and requested features in nearly 8 years of building Runway is finally here. Sorry it took so long.
16-bit HDR in ProRes and EXR sequences is here FOR ANY VIDEO MODEL IN RUNWAY.
Pretty excited to get this one out, and this is just the beginning. The next few weeks are going to be packed.
📢 Big release: New video model 🚀
Introducing Hyperion 2.5: convert 8-bit AI video into true HDR - ProRes 10-bit, EXR 16-bit, H.265 10-bit. AI footage can finally sit alongside live action in professional and VFX pipelines. Available now in Astra, coming soon to Topaz Video
💥👽 Grusch: Non-Humans (Aliens) Were Taken Alive and Detained, and Dick Cheney Was Somehow Involved👽💥
(If what Grusch says is true, our leaders are going to pay a huge price for keeping this from us.)
@DrPhil: "Have any of these pilots or occupants of these craft, to your knowledge, been taken alive?"
Grusch: "Yes, and I know people who have had direct interactions in a detainment situation. Which sounds very Star Trek and sounds very crazy, but it is true. And I talked to a Cabinet member, a former Cabinet member, about that who directly worked the issue for a particular former Vice President. You can guess which one, Darth Vader (laughs)."
(That's Dick Cheney.
Who's the former Cabinet member? How much involvement did Cheney have? Was he part of any interrogation of these non-humans? Did Grusch see any videos or photos of these live beings?)
Dr. Phil: "Were they able to communicate?"
Grusch: "Yes, yes. And it is true that some sort of consciousness communication. You know, of course, people call it telepathy. I cannot begin to tell you how it works, but there is some sort of communication like that. And even friends of mine that were on retrievals felt that kind of communication as they approached the vehicle when they were doing a, you know, cordoning it off, waiting for transport.
"How that works, what that means...I certainly don't know. I'm as curious as the average viewer on your show on how that works and it does feel very Star Trek to me. I have no personal experience with anything like that, that's outside of my normal you know human experience. But, that is indeed, you know, what people have experienced in the government with these things."
2027 as a year of disclosure keeps coming up through various sources. I wonder if that's what has been agreed upon with the 'other side' (insert dramatic tune)
🚨‼️DISCLOSURE UPDATE‼️🚨
Following a friendly “non business” chat with my good friend, @JDVance , he assures me that #ufo disclosure is still very much on the books.
However, major releases have been pushed to 2027 because of ontological shock reasons.

@thsottiaux hate to be that guy, but I used my codex reset last night, woke up today with 58% left, haven't used Codex other than a couple of Work prompts and a Luna agent running email tasks. 🤔
Thanks for checking it out! Giving a memory harness to chat gpt itself sounds tricky as it's restricted to connectors. Having said that, there could be one out there that works but haven't tried.
Would recommend using codex or an agent like Hermes though there's a lot of setup involved and you need somewhere to run it like a VPS.
In case you're interested I've been using this for personal context memory which is more experimental :

Obsidian cli skill works well for project based work.
I find hooks to be really useful in automating the workflow.
@karpathy Impressive benchmark, and the last point is a very real gap: how would LLMs learn how to handle fine detail temporal understanding? Would they also need to connect to/become a video/world model? I find they have the same issue with video editing.
I am very excited to announce I will be assisting in an unofficial AI scan of photographic plates from The Hale Telescope of the Palomar Observatory via CalTech to help identify “vanishing star” phenomenon.
This work was motivated by amateurs and staff members by the work of Dr. Beatriz Villarroel, an astronomer at the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics, leads the VASCO project, which systematically compares historical photographic plates from observatories such as Palomar and Harvard with modern sky surveys.
Her core question was whether stars or star-like objects can simply vanish. By examining pre-satellite-era images, she identified thousands of anomalous transients—point sources that appear on one plate and are completely absent from later exposures or deeper modern catalogs, with no conventional astrophysical explanation such as supernovae remnants or known variable stars.
Among the most striking discoveries were multiple simultaneous transients that appeared and disappeared within the roughly 50-minute exposure time of a single plate.
One notable case involved nine star-like objects clustered in a small region of a 12 April 1950 Palomar plate that never reappeared, even in far deeper modern images.
Even more remarkable were events tightly timed with the famous 1952 Washington, D.C. UFO wave: a bright triple transient captured on 19 July 1952 and another highly significant candidate on 27 July 1952, both falling on the consecutive weekends of intensive radar, pilot, and ground sightings over the capital.
Villarroel and her colleagues interpret many of these transients as possible solar reflections (glints) from flat, highly reflective metallic surfaces in high Earth orbit.
Because the plates predate Sputnik 1 by several years, no human-made satellites existed at the time. Supporting this idea is a statistically significant deficit of such flashes when the putative objects would have been inside Earth’s shadow, where they could not reflect sunlight, along with elevated rates of transients near dates of atmospheric nuclear tests and reported UAP events.
These findings, published in peer-reviewed journals including Scientific Reports and Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, challenge the long-standing assumption that all such plate anomalies are mere defects or contamination.
While individual cases remain difficult to confirm, the overall patterns—spatial alignments, temporal correlations, and shadow avoidance—suggest a genuine population of short-lived, reflective objects that may represent non-terrestrial artifacts monitoring Earth during a period of intense nuclear activity.
We will hope to use my AI model to establish a baseline of field surveys from the facility plates and to have a high confidence parallax. This all will take place on “off time” as it is not officially endorsed.
I will give updates when permitted. I am certain this will be an interesting use for AI and we will get robust results.
Here is my award wining friend, @g_knapp and one of the best shows on broadcast television Mystery Wire, full show is here: https://t.co/HOU8t1ETjJ. George discusses the “vanishing stars” phenomenon…
FLUX 3:
"a Timelapse video of a kid opening a Lego set and constructing a Star Wars X wing. Full timelapse from box opening to final constructed Lego X wing. Continuous shot with no cuts"
You're hearing this from me first. I was granted early access to newly released UAP documents, and one pattern jumps off the page: these objects have been showing up over our nuclear facilities for 77
years. Here's the record:
• 1949, Los Alamos: After multiple "green fireball" sightings near nuclear facilities, the military convened a scientific conference to determine if they were meteors. Dr. Lincoln LaPaz, the foremost expert, said no. They flew horizontally, silently, at constant velocity. The conference's greatest concern: they appeared most frequently over nuclear sites nationwide.
• 2015, Amarillo, Texas: A UAP violated the sealed airspace over Pantex, the heavily guarded plant where America assembles and disassembles nuclear weapons. Seen by multiple personnel.
The release also includes:
• Project SIGN's 1948 progress report, the Air Force's first formal UFO investigation, launched after Kenneth Arnold's famous 1947 sighting and Roswell eleven days later. Hundreds of cases studied. Rapid climbs, hovering, abrupt reversals, saucer-shaped craft.
• A 1948 Air Intelligence Study acknowledging at least 210 unexplainable reports.
• Hours of Apollo 17 crew debriefs on firework-like particles observed during their mission.
• FBI and CIA witness interview reports focused on national security concerns.
This isn't speculation. It's the government's own documentation, and you're seeing it here first. The nuclear pattern continues around the world today.
Love this, impressed not only by Omni mini but also by the fact @fofrAI prompted a subagent to edit the examples with hyperframes...in theory the agent could have also called Omni itself 🫠
It’s amazing what you can script with agents these days.
I gave a subagent a hyperframes skill, some Omni outputs and prompts, and it made this.
