@UrbanistOrg Good thing we managed to keep high capacity #transit out of downtown #Kirkland while we had the chance!
You're welcome Kirkland. Enjoy the hike up to the freeway to catch a "BRT" bus.
@QAGreenways As you might expect, even though we do not live in Seattle, we have opinions which should be taken into account. We like things exactly like they are. No changes. Everything is working fine. No new people... errr... flags.
Seattle voting rates as of Aug 5th (noon) for Aug 6th primary. Median age of those that voted = 56, median age of registered voters = 43. Registered voters organized into 5 equal sized populations to compare voting rates. Voting rates for those under 38 is below 13%.
BREAKING: We do not endorse #GreenShirtGuy. He is not one of us. He does not speak (laugh) for us. Not sure who told him it was OK to go to a council meeting and not yell about "other people" and "buses and trains destroying our tranquil neighborhoods".
There are some DC ”strategists” that seem quite eager (almost wanting) to believe that Trump is a secret genius playing 3-D racism chess.
They’re wrong.
He’s simply an impulsive racist, one who leaves his party scrambling to excuse bigotry & scam the country.
@timoutoflove@greenod@seattletimes It’s the price you pay for allowing a small group of rich white homeowners who have no plans to ever do anything but drive, have overwhelming influence over #transit and bicycling planning in your city.
As it should be! Drive ‘em if you got ‘em everyone!
@TacomaTransit Look forward to us using our privilege to copious amounts of spare time to start working to crush this thing or at least make it a lot worse.
@TacomaTransit Much better than having light rail or quiet electric buses on Cross Kirkland Corridor (aka "our trail"). Combines benefits of:
1. A stupid amount of $
2. Stranding #transit riders in the middle of effin' nowhere
3. Giving Houghton/Everest SFH owners access to HOT lanes
✅✅✅
@DavidL206@GlenBikes As it should be. We shouldn’t spend motorists’ tax dollars on subsidizing shame cabs. Build city-invigorating structured downtown #parking instead.
To be clear: when we fought LRT/electric buses on our Cross Kirkland Corridor trail, and said #transit belonged on I-405... at no point did we say we'd support I-405 #transit.
Because cars. You can have our cars when you pry our mottled brittle fingers off our steering wheels. https://t.co/PxecRX5XW1
Faster, more frequent bus service (aka Bus Rapid Transit) for I-405 is on the way! Find out more and help plan your future connection today! https://t.co/jJHukEu33K
Our civil disobedience is spreading like wildfire. Freedom of choice is our right and we will not keep silent until we get this right. Everyone should get used to the exercise of our right. #WhiteWednesdays
