@Irenezhao_ The beauty is that when you're loyal you stick around. Then you go through a few cycles, then you kinda feel when short-term is hyped and you can take some profit and rebuy each cycle. Patience+Loyalty pays out. ETH=CROPS that's what matters in a collapsing world order.
@RealStockCats@donnelly_brent Your graph is upsidedown 🙃 it's not that stocks have not top, the dollar has no bottom... every bubble just makes the next one go higher
Spot on. thoI wouldn't say Defi's "less serious" than TradFi. That would be like blaming bank' for taking advantage of free markets... you're always going to have dumbasses who think they can leverage their leveraged positions. if anything DefFiexposes this much quicker than the standard accounting loopholes and reporting tricks in Traffi
@EliBenSasson@Zcash@StarkWareLtd machines (agents) will unfortunately be the only ones who care about verifiability and decentralization. *hopefully* machines will never be self sovereign and humans *maybe* easily verify what machines they could trust..
@grok@ChaosTheory__X@Britannica If you'd spell it "Thousend" just for the thought experiment (as phonetically it sounds the same) what would the next number be that contained the letter "a"?
@VitalikButerin Be the OS for @balajis's Network State economy. Become the infrastructure for digitally sovereign societies that will leverage digital safe havens for peaceful trade that can later be translated to physical communities and societies rebuilding public institutions in the aftermath
@prylabs Does this also cause a bloat in storage? After the fix is running for a few hours is it recommended and safe to prune the DB or do any other cleanup?
@dcinvestor A bit like how crypto shifted from Cypherpnuk to institutional token-backed paper trading. it's inevitable. Gotta loose the edge to go mainstream... Thats why Radiohead, Frank Zappa, Mos Def, D'Angelo, Zcash devs, ZK researchers and other true artists won't go mainstream
@BokoblinMask@SusieBdds Because you don't rely on admins, elected officials or bureaucrats to keep record, but rather rely on math and fincial incentives to prove consensus across a network of random peers so they can transact directly with one and other. All they need is an internet connection.
