This was intended for todays conference, but since the organization doesnโt actually value educating coaches & offered me less than admission and dues for 1 person w/ no room or travel Iโve posted it here instead
Proceeds going towards our staff cont ed instead of draining it

Testing deceleration with video gives you far more information than just time!
Entry speed (m/s)
Braking (m/s/s)
Trunk discipline? (ยฐ)
Shin discipline (TDd)
How do you load your penultimate (m/s/s), what impact does this have on your plant step (GCT)?
Does it even matter?

We run our Day-After-Game Training a little differently than most. Hereโs my thoughts and rationale behind our first training session of the week โฌ๏ธ
- a thread ๐งต -
Sometimes it really is that simple.
Train what happens on Gameday.
Attackers donโt run straight!
Just a little step or change or line can add so much the the drill, and show issues/challenges.
I've said it before
The next big shift in HS is coaches getting their weekly practice planning/loads dialed. Building out the whole week. Every day has a goal
The pushback on this is wild. People that get fired for losing do this. Professional/Colleges do it. Why wouldn't HS?
Iโve experienced the deepest kind of burnout anyone can experience in S&C.
It IS possible to come back to S&C from burnout, BUT you have to make different choices.
What helped meโI first decided the kind of life I wanted to live, then I built a coaching practice around that.
