The Kuki-Zo community gathered to lay to rest Mr. Lalgouthang Singsit, who was killed on March 8, 2025, during a peaceful protest against free movement in the Kuki-Zo region.
His death highlights concerns about the government's response to protests and the use of force against civilians.

The community demands accountability from the Central and State governments for the use of live ammunition and calls for a political resolution to address the issues faced by the Kuki-Zo community.
