We've all been there.
Everyone deserves to get from A to B in peace.
Liberal Democrats are calling for change in the law to explicitly ban playing music and videos out loud from a phone on public transport in England, with those who breach the ban facing fines of up to £1,000.
APPEAL I Were you travelling on Jesmond Dene Road, close to the Blue House roundabout in Newcastle at around 4.25pm on Friday, October 18?
You could be a witness to a serious road collision which has left a teenage boy, aged 17, with serious injuries.

Good to see the leader of the Liberal Democrats Ed Davey putting forward some key questions yesterday during the PMQs on rebuilding the ties with Europe.
A Youth Mobility Scheme would be great for young people, great for small businesses, and a big step towards repairing the relationship with our European neighbours.
But the Prime Minister’s ruled it out. So today at #PMQs I challenged him to think again.
They’re saying the quiet part out loud, now: the High Street’s for passing through on your way to somewhere else, it’s not a destination. This was exactly our concern and criticism all along.
Investing in your commute 🚌
We are improving bus efficiency and reliability by making the bus lane on Gosforth High Street permanent.
We used data and public feedback to inform the first phase of wider improvements in Gosforth.

We forced an answer by asking a question at Council last night. But the High Street desperately needs a long term plan for sustained success. We’ve been waiting for years.
Cllr Colin Ferguson brought local families’ petition regarding Gosforth Academy’s admission procedures to Council tonight. Colin had a meeting with the MAT arranged before the Summer break, which was postponed, and he is seeking to rearrange it now that term has started again.
Great to be at the Mela yesterday with the wee man. Exhibition Park was heaving. It was so good to see that recent weeks’ riots weren’t deterring anyone from attending!
No clarity at all on what will happen to Gosforth High Street in less than a month’s time. There is no plan, no strategic vision, no will to see our High Street thrive from this Labour administration.
Great to be out yesterday at the pop up recycling event on Rydal Road. Colin and Tahir rolled their sleeves up to help residents with heavier items and cleared some of the flytipping in the area!
Newcastle Labour have refused to accept, tonight, that the accident data for Gosforth High Street, since the introduction of the bus lanes, is a concern. We do not agree.
We are aware of a power cut affecting the West side of the ward, around Kenton Road and surrounding streets. Northern Powergrid are aware and we understand they are advising residents that power will be restored by 10:00.
We’re reporting blockages across the ward, like this one, during this period of sustained wet weather. Got an issue on your street? Let us know! #WorkingHardAllYearRound
We’re turning the huge anti-Tory vote that always shows up, but always goes forgotten, into a movement of people that can’t be ignored.
We are the ‘F YOU’ vote, and we want change.
Turn anger into hope, hope into action, and action into political power.

We’re glad the tennis courts have been refurbished. We understand the conditions attached to the funding. The staff at Urban Green are doing the best they can, but @NewcastleLibDem remain of the view that our parks should always have remained in public control.
We believe all the courts should be for general use, whether tennis or basketball, and of proper serviceable standards. Urban Green need to do more to secure parallel funding for the basketball courts to that secured from the LTA for the tennis courts. 1/
We’re trying to get interested parties locally (e.g. the Eagles) to work with Urban Green to do a parallel piece of work on the basketball courts, so we can have courts we can all be proud of. Free-to-play is an absolutely critical component of this.
