You can’t conclude anything about the future from the fact you are living now as opposed to in the future.

@QuantWolfLine @InGameHQ Anyhow, think about how ES options are regulated by the CFTC, even though the ES futures are settled to an index. Their CFTC because they settle to the future directly, not the index.

One are directly on the index and the ones that everyone trades. They are SEC and referred to with the $VIX ticker.

The other are on the futures and they have essentially 0 open interest and volume. They are CFTC.
