Our cover image shows mutant S. pombe cells lacking ER-PM tethers, with cortical ER in magenta and Duc1-mNeonGreen in cyan. Discover more in the article from Alaina Willet et al. @Gould_Lab.

send your awesome #cleavage stories to @ASCBiology#cellbio2024 for our 8th biannual Cytokinesis subgroup! (stable actomyosin rings and network reconstitution work welcome too!)
please RT for all those last-minute #cell#Biology -ists out there burning the midnight arc lamp!
Once again we organize the 8th Frontiers in Cytokinesis subgroup at #CellBio2024 in San Diego. The deadline to submit an abstract to be considered for a talk is August 6. Cytokinesis folks, please consider presenting!
In the lab. 8 am Sunday to see the outcome of a genetic screen in S japonicus, made popular by @alebenoit Reminds me of the time in @Gould_Lab Lab meeting tomorrow and want to present my work.
Please feel free to retweet
I have a post-doctoral position to measure cytokinetic forces in collaboration with Justin Molloy in Warwick.

Check out our most recent pub! Transient PP2A SIP complex localization to mitotic SPBs for SIN inhibition is mediated solely by the Csc1 FHA domain | Molecular Biology of the Cell https://t.co/BjW8XmCEpj
We are super proud of a recent micropub because the first author is a *high school student* !! Anna Bowman Fletcher (left) spent last semester in the Gould lab through a course at @HarpethHall . Huge thanks to Lesley Turner (in cat sweatshirt) for her mentorship of Anna!
Anna was also recently awarded first place within the Cellular and Molecular Biology division of Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair - and if that wasn't enough - she was also the alternate grand prize winner!!
Our newest CK1 publication is now out in @ScienceAdvances headed by @KinaseQueen ! We built upon our model of CK1 function by investigating the role of the C-terminal tail in substrate specificity. https://t.co/y2W8w1wx8s
Another set of temperature sensitive alleles that didn’t fit into a recent pub. Special thanks to undergraduate student Bita Tavafoghi for her hard work finishing this up!
We made a set of ts alleles for a recent project but some of them didn’t end up fitting into the final paper. We wanted to make sure to publish them though! Special thanks to former undergrad @isaac__howard for all his hard work on this!
