Today residents of Buckeye Village (graduate & family housing with a high population of international students) were sent a reminder that they're being kicked out at the end of the term. OSU will not assist in helping them find alternative housing. In a pandemic.

So very disappointing! These apartments have subsidized rent and are affordable on the OSU stipends. They also have support services that families need. Taking away affordable family housing will cause OSU to lose so many valuable, brilliant students.

And just to be clear: this is the SECOND night in a row a superspreader like this has taken place. Not really an educational moment when students breaking covid safety rules see no repercussions. We are all stressed, exhausted, overworked. No one gets a pass to be reckless.

100's of GTAs will be in classrooms tomorrow risking their lives to teach these students. They deserve a safe environment.

They deserve university ACCOUNTABILITY, not a response condoning this behavior.
