Carney is popular because Canadians think he's a pragmatic centrist in the guise of Jean Chretien. What they don't realize is that you can't restore 1990s stability by electing 1990s-style leaders. Too much has been lost, too much corroded, too much perverted. No matter how soberly Carney steers the ship, he's incapable of repairing the damage below decks.
@NoahMeag Still, it's the most (only?) likable thing about him (and Ocelli) today. Not ideal, but at least it's something in a race full of big question marks.
@westlakeracing Excellent action points. Perhaps #8 could be combined into #2 but this is important and overlooked. I can't count how many times I had friends excited to watch a race I'm in but it's nowhere to be found without setting up some account. Opportunity lost.
