Im surprised more people aren’t talking about just how atrocious this scene is in the Odyssey. Nolan took a part of the story about savage giants who throw boulders at and eat Odysseus’s crew and changed them to be weird 12ft tall medieval knights or something.

It’s not every day that one gets to listen to a former British Prime Minister recite from memory the opening passages of The Iliad in Ancient Greek, with no notes, in response to a random question from an undergraduate—and all while wearing what appear to be Thomas The Tank Engine socks. But today was one such day.

Labeling the victims as “narco-terrorists” is a rhetorical category, not a legal one.

One can decide these strikes were morally justified - but so far, they have not been legally justified.
