@dhh I've got my eyes on the upcoming 12 inch Microsoft Surface with Snapdragon X2. iPad-like compactness and even a cellular option. Pricey, but a good value compared to the iPad Pro if you can unlock this form factor with Omarchy.
If Codex subscriptions now scale linearly (1x usage for $20, 10x for $200, 25x for $500), does that open the door for just buying additional 1x credits for $20 instead of switching to API pricing?
@Gegam245074 Frantic is a good characterization. They had something with Astra, and even the Luna models were quite good. Needed a more expensive 50x subscription to run Astra. What we got was a more expensive subscription with 25% more usage at 2.5x cost (vs. $200).
@GautamBose18@FellowProducts So sick. I've got an older Fellow Corvo Kettle, Aiden Brewer, and ES1 espresso machine. The latter two do have app control, but now I'm curious about what's in the API.
@rynorhn I was all for a more expensive plan, but at 50-100x usage. I'd even be ok with limiting Astra on 5x and 20x due to the economics, but not downgrading 20x to 10x. I guess OpenAI is saying Sol 6.1 is mostly as capable for 5x-10x users, but the crowd is unhappy.
@stephenrobles Exactly why the iPad, despite major improvements to being more Mac-like in iOS 26, is hamstrung from a power user perspective. People need the ability to distribute their own apps without gatekeepers!
