@dericDarko @Cakalacman Again. Jay isn’t blameless here. PGA has made plenty of mistakes.
But to imply that LIV and PGA are operating on the same playing field like BlackBerry and Apple were is disingenuous. There is no world where the PGA can raise funds to compete with 9 figure signing bonuses
@dericDarko @Cakalacman Right. Fine. But. There was a market for it. People looked at both. Made a choice. The revenue drove the market.
LIV has spent more money than the PGA brings in. That’s not producing a compelling and competitive product; that’s like Apple buying BB and burying it.
@dericDarko @Cakalacman And my point is that those were viable, economic challengers. LIV isn’t. It’s generating zero revenue. It’s laying out huge sums of cash against nothing. Apple and Samsung had to market; LIV doesn’t. How could the PGA foresee that or compete against it?
@dericDarko @Cakalacman Except Blackberry was competing with a economically viable product, whereas the PGAT is just competing with an endless fount of money. We can say that the PGA needed to improve its product without acting like LIV is a good faith competitor.
@E_Smithhh15@SneakyJoeSports@MattHarmon_BYB Not sure if I am reading this the right way but it looks as if almost every route got worse, outside of the flat, the screen, the slant and the comeback.
@GogBlogGuy@Top100Rick If those are your only two restrictions you could have any of the appetizers. Have to skip the salad course, but the ribeye would be fine.
@laughingat45@RareImagery@krassenstein This implication that men are transitioning because they can’t compete against men is where I get lost in this argument. We can discuss the fairness of women who have transitioned competing in women’s sports without implying that they are doing it to win.
@pearsonified@jcmmartin65 I’d rather have the best golfers playing. But that’s not what I said. Everyone who went to LIV, outside that initial wave, knew that they wouldn’t be eligible for majors. They made that decision for the check and I don’t begrudge them for that. But their complaints ring hollow
@NFLSTATISTIC Not to mention the era Rice played in; that’s what I always get wrapped up in. He put up those numbers in a much more physical, much less pass-happy era of the league. He put up Gretzky-numbers in a Crosby-era. That’s insane.
@kurtknapp@raj_fba@pbreit@ramit Yup. And nowhere near what this guy has from his family selling their business that was started before he was born. It’s lazy advice from a blowhard.
@thee_jeff_l@RyanBallengee I think that's the point, right? A 7 handicap wouldn't sniff the cut line and she is right there. Hell, a scratch wouldn't sniff it and those are the types I see saying they could beat an LPGAer
