Gonna be so real with you here. Going to the zoo hits much harder when you recognize the animals on a more individual level and understand their individual differences. Take the time to chat with volunteers or keepers they offer a window into the individual lives of the animals.
so incredibly frustrating that people cant wrap their heads around the importance of preserving deserts/plains/shrublands and not just the "pretty stuff" like forests. These are incredibly sensitive ecosystems
