This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of single antiplatelet therapy (SAPT) after left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) with Amplatzer devices in a cohort of 431 high bleeding risk patients. At 6 months, a significant portion of patients had discontinued antithrombotic therapy, yet the incidence of device-related thrombosis (DRT) was low at 1.5%. The 1-year ischaemic stroke rate was 2.2%, with rates of major bleeding and cardiovascular death at 5.9% and 2.9%, respectively. These findings suggest that SAPT is an effective postprocedural strategy for LAAO, efficiently balancing the prevention of DRT against the risk of bleeding. https://t.co/MC5UuxWsji
