Zarghoona Wadood A Beacon of Strength for Women with Disabilities
Sharing this moment from our 16th Annual Workshop, where @Zarkhanqta , Core Team Member of #QuettaOnlineVolunteers, continues to inspire us all.
In a society where women with disabilities are often unseen and unheard, Zarghoona has become a powerful voice of change. She is among the first women from Balochistan to work so consistently and professionally for the rights of women with disabilities — not only at the provincial level but also nationally and internationally.
Her journey is one of resilience. From becoming the Provincial Coordinator of the National Forum of Women with Disabilities to being the first woman with a disability to serve as a member of the Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women, she has broken barriers that many thought impossible.
Zarghoona has represented her community on international platforms, received recognition from Rehabilitation International, and continues to contribute to important work on Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Her reports and advocacy on accessibility and referral pathways for women with disabilities in GBV services are remarkable.
She is not just an activist — she is an inspiration. For every young woman with a disability in Balochistan and beyond, Zarghoona shows that limitations exist only when we accept them.
Proud to have her as part of the Quetta Online Volunteers family.

16 Years of Volunteering A Journey of Blessings #QuettaOnlineVolunteers ❤️
Today, as I look back on 16 years of Quetta Online Volunteers, my heart is full of gratitude.
I feel truly blessed — not because of what we have achieved, but because of the people Allah has placed beside me. My team, my volunteers, and every person who supported us in silence or in action… you are the real strength of this journey.
What started as a small Facebook group on 14 August 2010 has grown into a family that serves with sincerity. Together we have stood for blood donation, disability rights, health support, education, and community care. None of this would have been possible without the trust, hard work, and prayers of my team and our supporters.
I am especially thankful to every volunteer who gave their time without expecting anything in return, and to every well-wisher who stood with us when it mattered. You turned ideas into action and difficulties into opportunities.
16 years have taught me one thing clearly: real change does not come from one person. It comes from a committed team and people who believe in doing good.
I am blessed to have you all.
Thank you for walking this path with me.
The journey continues.

Ending Gender-Based Violence and Building an Inclusive Balochistan
During a recent awareness session by Quetta Online Volunteers (QOV), core team member, Press Secretary, and Motivational Speaker @IamAJalalRind delivered a powerful presentation on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and the protection of women.
He emphasized that the rights, dignity, and equal inclusion of women especially women with disabilities — are fundamental to creating an empowered, peaceful, and just society.
Key points from the presentation:
• GEDSI Policy 2026 and the elimination of GBV: QOV continues to work against all forms of gender discrimination, violence, and injustice under its Gender, Diversity, and Disability Inclusion policy.
• Digital safety and Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV): Raising practical awareness to protect women and girls from cyber harassment on social media and online platforms.
• Inclusion and leadership of courageous women: Creating equal opportunities for women to participate in volunteering, decision-making, and leadership without treating disability as a barrier.
Ahmed Jalal’s message:
“Let’s donate our professional skills (Skill Donation) and become part of building a society where every individual is safe, dignified, and empowered.”
What role do you think young people can play in ending gender-based violence and creating safer spaces for women? Share your thoughts.
