The double standards are glaring. When COTU calls a bandh, it's met with force and suppression. When UNC and Meitei do the same, there's little or no opposition. Why this selective enforcement? Equal laws must apply to all. Silence is complicity.
The central forces who remain silent on the brutal killing of three kuki church leaders, on the attack of Leilon Vaiphei, injuring three by Naga militants imposed Self-styled lockdown, intimidation, strict operations to the people of #Leilon selectively @crpfindia@INCIndia
Kuki community protested the killing of 3 innocent Kuki-Zo pastors. CRPF fired on peaceful civilian demonstrators demanding justice. Why target law-abiding protestors instead of pursuing the real miscreants? We urge impartial investigation, accountability.
The ongoing situation in Leilon Vaiphei has raised serious concerns among the Kuki-Zo community. Today, large numbers of villagers, including women, elders, and youth, gathered in protest following allegations that security forces, including COBRA units and Central Forces, conducted aggressive operations in and around the village. Residents claim that innocent civilians were subjected to fear, intimidation, and repeated searches despite being victims of ongoing violence and insecurity.
The Kuki community questions why peaceful villagers and local defenders are being subjected to intense security actions while those accused of attacks on Kuki ancestral villages remain beyond the reach of justice. Many Kuki villages across Kangpokpi, Ukhrul, and Kamjong districts have suffered violence, displacement, destruction of homes, and the loss of innocent lives. Yet, according to community leaders, accountability has remained absent.
The protesters are demanding that the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, NIA, CBI, Army, Assam Rifles, CRPF, BSF, and all concerned authorities immediately conduct impartial investigations into every incident of violence affecting civilians. They are calling for equal enforcement of the law, protection of vulnerable villages, and firm action against any armed individuals or groups found responsible for attacks, killings, arson, intimidation, or the destruction of civilian property.
The Kuki community further urges authorities to stop treating innocent civilians as suspects and instead focus on restoring peace, ensuring justice, protecting constitutional rights, and safeguarding all communities without discrimination. Security operations must be impartial, professional, and accountable. Lasting peace can only be achieved through fairness, equal protection under the law, and justice for every victim.
The people of Leilon Vaiphei and other affected villages appeal to the Government of India to listen to their concerns, address their grievances, and ensure that no citizen feels abandoned or unprotected. The demand remains clear: justice, security, accountability, and equal treatment for all.

To understand Manipur's history, look at official records, not propaganda. The Administrative Report 1946โ47 clearly lists Kuki officials serving as Circle Officers in Chassad Hundung, Aimol, and Thanlon. History speaks for itself.
I remember how a Meitei lady wearing Phanek was parading mutilated body of a kuki , how a kuki individual was barbarically chopping farmers head from body, body of 3 year old Meitie kid floating in water , Kuki income tax officer burnt alive infront of people, Meitie lady telling men to rape a kuki girl .
I have seen a lot in this conflict with my own eyes , when it comes to Barbarism extremist from all ethnicity have shown their extreme . These barbarians do not represent whole society.
Weapons can be seized and removed, but how do you remove the hatred and dehumanization that communities develop towards one another? That underlying hostility is what truly needs to be confronted and addressed if lasting peace is ever to be achieved.

NSCN-IM peace-pact with Government of India is nulled & must be abrogated because it has crossed it's operational area Nagaland & ventured into Manipur that attack Kuki-Zo village Leilon seriously injuring three villagers! Action of justice needed & WHERE IS THE GROUND RULES??
15/06/2026: Leilon vaiphei village has been under attack by NSCN-IM & ZUF-K NARCO TERRORIST injuring badly 3 civilians, one among them was Mr. Paogoulal Chongloi who played in a MOHUN BAGAN TEAM.
We want justice & safety from Manipur kacha nagas. @YKhemchandSingh@HMOIndia
A viral video from Mexico dating back to 2022, showing drug cartel members mutilating dead men, has been recirculated in #Manipur by some Kacha Naga groups to support their baseless claims of cannibalism by the #Kuki-Zo people. This is a cheap and malicious attempt to vilify an entire community. A humanitarian gesture of serving them decent food has been twisted into a disgusting narrative aimed at targeting one community. This must stop.
It reflects deep-seated resentment and unprovoked animosity towards Kuki people among those promoting such misinformation. This illustrates the scale of the misinformation campaigns that the Kuki-Zo people of Manipur have had to endure and painstakingly debunk.

The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), the apex Kuki body in the state, has demanded immediate and decisive action from the government and security forces to identify, arrest, and prosecute all individuals involved in an attack that injured three civilians from the Kuki community.

NSCN-IM and ZUF (Kamson faction) attacked Leilon Vaiphei village today. Three Kuki-Zo villagers were injured in the assault and were immediately rushed to RIMS Hospital in Imphal for treatment. As expected, Meitei mobs have surrounded the hospital in an attempt to attack the wounded Kuki-Zo patients.
This raises two critical questions:
1. Why are Kuki-Zo villages not adequately protected by Security Forces?
2. Why are Meiteis so opposed to Kuki-Zo people accessing even basic healthcare in government-run hospitals?
Separate administration remains the only viable and lasting solution to ensure the safety, dignity, and fundamental rights of the Kuki-Zo people.@PMOIndia@HMOIndia@Spearcorps
3 Kuki students critically injured in 15 June, Leilon Munlui attack carried out by NSCN-IM and ZUF-K militants.
The injured are as follows :
Lunliandan Vaiphei, 20
Genlenmang Vaiphei,18
Paogoulal Chongloi,18
All sustained serious injuries and remain under critical condition.
These ANSAM leaders were among the most vocal figures behind the rally held on 3 May 2023 under the ATSUM banner, which strongly opposed the Meitei demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status. They stood at the forefront, mobilizing crowds, delivering fiery speeches, and raising slogans against the movement. The rally became a defining moment in Manipurโs recent history, as violence erupted soon after and the state descended into a prolonged period of unrest, loss of lives, and displacement.
Today, seeing the very same leaders walk hand in hand with those they once fiercely opposed raises serious questions about political consistency, accountability, and sincerity. If dialogue and cooperation were always possible, why was such hostility encouraged in the first place? The people who suffered through the conflict deserve honest answers.
History should not be rewritten for convenience. Those who played influential roles during critical moments must acknowledge their actions and responsibilities. Political alliances may change, but the memories of the victims and the consequences of the violence remain. Shame on hypocrisy, and let accountability prevail over opportunism.
Reports indicate that some ANSAM leaders are now calling for people to gather at RIMS Hospital, Imphal, where footballer Mohun Bagan player Paogoulal Chongloi is currently undergoing treatment after sustaining injuries in the attack at Munlui-Leimakhong earlier today. ANSAM should be held accountable.
