@YourPope2026@brianwhelton That's the same number as my suitcase. Or if it's a phone, house alarm, etc don't write a made up number... when you could keep the duress code handy.
@Derry_Kev@Iceyall@SamRaincock Though if someone relying on their doctor to manage a serious condition won't take their advice to minimise risks, maybe they are better off finding a different doctor anyway.
Today it’s 50 years since I first presented Playschool wearing my blue beads and silver heart. I adore bringing joy into the lives of my #Playschool Babies during the 12 years I was on the programme. @CBeebiesHQ ❤️
Today is the 67th anniversary of the Auchengeich pit disaster, which took the lives of 47 miners, devastating the community.
41 women were widowed that day, and 76 children lost their father - including my mother-in-law, who lost her Dad.
Please do read the thread below 🙏
@thatstanhanks@TracketPacer I guess just like with the PHY stuff, nobody knew what people might need to know, so a whole breadth of stuff is there, for that time that someone, somewhere needs it. And those people are really glad they don't then have to do some nasty hack to get at it.
@SamRaincock@farmfriendlincs Yeah, probably good for a year - maybe take 1/4 of the bottles out in 9 months, drink them/see if they're good, replace them, then do the same again every 3 months. Somewhere dark and stable, cool temperature ideally.
@MarkGCuellar@_nonfigurativ_ In a pinch, the "right" colours are optional (especially as there are two different "right" ways). As long as it's pairs on the edges, pair in the middle and splitting the last one in the remaining holes. Crimp one end and make sure the other matches.
@swizzlez_@HackingLZ An inevitably unprofitable business in a crowded niche because of all the other autists who saw the same feeds that turned you on to that hobby.
@dr_chrontell@ne_pas_cacher@SwiftOnSecurity And increasingly, software is exactly the part of real world systems that causes the real harm to people. unsurprisingly, because the EE and the ME who did their parts of the job were actually taught how to engineer, and work with formal, engineerable systems.
@memecrashes That's more realistic - startup isn't giving you a huge pay rise *and* a chunk of equity, unless it's some fad being funded by people who really need the bubble to keep bubbling. In which case enjoy it for 6 months before being suddenly unemployed and the owner of penny stocks.
@antonodonellatc@DrNaeChance@UKGovScotland@D_G_Alexander Politicians going to politician. Salmond was long heralded as the solution the scotland's lack of decision making. Finally got some authority, soon enough his failures became publicly know.. the solution was Sturgeon. Give it a few years.. oh dear. Same will happen again.
