As an editor, I often read discussions that are long winded, meandering and fail to make an impact.
They feel like an after-thought rather than a key part of the paper.
Here are some tips to make your discussion better. Full credit to @sanjaysaint who taught me this years ago!
@_KChoi @JenKotler @MakedaMaysGreen@mlevine_jgcc@bradleyjbond @vikki_katz Congrats on publishing this fantastic paper! I look forward to reading the final print, complete with anecdotes from this excellent cast of characters!

"My hope is that this kind of system helps people establish plans that lend routine to kids’ days, ensure a ‘balanced diet’ of content, and most importantly, align with their core values as a family.” –Dr. @HKirkorian on #children's #screentime https://t.co/YMgnPh4wmb
I'm honored to have been nominated by Sholly Fisch for @icacamdivision Spotlight. I enjoyed the opportunity to highlight current research projects and think about scholarly superlatives (most memorable project, proudest achievement, etc.). Such a fun series!
"Whenever I’m talking to parents about using technology, I’m always focused on what the *goal* is." –Dr. @HKirkorian, of Human Development & Family Studies @UWMadison#parenting#tech / @JessGrose via @NYTParenting@nytopinion https://t.co/6j1h4cWMeK
