It has been an absolute pleasure working for Hilliard Police Department. The people of the City of Hilliard and Norwich Township have been amazing. We will miss serving not only them but the others throughout the State of Ohio. Thank you for a humbling career.

K9 Oz has decided it’s time to hang up the leash. Today we celebrated his service to our community with a retirement reception. 👏🐾🚓

His handler, Officer Large, officially purchased K9 Oz from the city for the customary $1.

@AndeeWrites It was a good time...I’m sure dad will let you ride anytime. He’ll need the chatter since I’ll be home watching re-runs of Live PD, Cops and Scooby Do!

We officially said goodbye to summer this week. HPD's K9 teams were among several that trained at the Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool after it closed for the season.

Water training teaches the dogs to ignore distractions and stay on task.

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement Sergeant...You have been a mentor to many including us at The Hilliard Police Department Canine Unit.

[Columbus Division of Police @ColumbusPolice]

SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE BEST!
Anyone who know/meets Sgt. Mark Cartwright is in awe of the person/officer he is.
Kind, dedicated, funny, family-oriented, a cop’s cop.
He retires from CPD w/nearly 40yrs! 20 of those as K9 Unit supervisor.
He & Lilo will retire together-a great team!💙
