Our final lesson today included both uploading and sharing documents and shortcuts! It was clear that uploading and sharing wasn’t difficult for my student so it was a good idea to introduce shortcuts as well!! These were all practiced on work documents! @YEPeducation

@ms_trentadue Pretty good picture. Great angles 😂 My grandfather still has a flip phone camera and an old canon camera and even with those he gets confused. I can definitely see how this is such a big accomplishment! 😂 Good for him!!!

@EmilyMacKinnon9 I feel like zoom is so easy for us now that we don’t realize how difficult it could be for others. Parents have meetings online as well for example so this is such a good skill to learn

Yesterday,my student focused on a 2nd review based on the question matrix guideline which was performed as an oral and hands on activity. We then reflected on how we feel about the skills learned already and where we should continue to focus on ✨#letsteachadults @YEPeducation

We have moved onto Lesson 3 today! INSERTING! It may seem like a hefty question to start off with, but my student managed to do it with ease. Step-by-step, we managed to insert things like charts and pics. Merging cells was a big focus as well 🤗👩‍🏫 @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

@GrovesJerusalem @YEPeducation I love the picture descriptions. Makes it so much easier to follow. Technology, even for us generally “tech savvy” people, it can be hard to follow instructions without seeing what is what.

Last weeks lesson had to get pushed because my student was practicing her Microsoft word skills in a recent work meeting! Therefore, it only made sense to do a review this lesson to make sure lessons 1 and 2 are completely understood! ✨👩‍🏫 @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

My mom and I went through the first two sections of our Microsoft outline. Typing and formatting. The worksheet incorporated all the components that we listed from our outline like changing font and font size and putting a list in alphabetical order!! ✨

@greenrivergrass @YEPeducation Taking notes on unknown words is such a good strategy. I do it all the time when reading in French to ensure I can remember the word for next time!

@GrovesJerusalem @YEPeducation Honestly I love puzzles too so I don’t blame her for wanting more haha. She should try some different kind of puzzles if she’s interested. There’s an app called “Flow” and it’s basically matching the dots but it’s super fun and gets challenging!

@MsKP_edu @YEPeducation This is such a good thing to be teaching. As we have moved so many things to online, docs is such an easy way for adults to have everything online but also easily accessible from any device!

@YEP_AndreaC @YEPeducation Flash cards is a good strategy for those who remember with repetition. Sometimes visuals are so much easier to students too. Great idea!
