Opening of COMPOSITION #100 by Marcel Schwittlick @schwittlick_ in cooperation with DAM Berlin. Great show, very worth seeing!
With @hansdehlinger and @lasern
Installation view of the live code work ‘hello world’ by @qubibien at his solo exhibition ‘hello world,’ curated by @kikanicolela. On view until November 15.
hello world itself — the living, breathing generative work — is projected in real time. Here, time becomes, as Deleuze wrote, “the substance in which all change takes place.” Twenty-six frames per second of moments that will never be seen again, never be repeated, never return. Watching it is to attend to pure process, to surrender to an algorithmic temporality that moves at its own pace. Many viewers report an experience close to meditation — not because the work is slow, but because it operates according to a logic outside our frantic human rhythms. As qubibi himself says, “as you keep watching, you realize that time has somehow been quietly absorbed. I think I’ve personally been saved by that experience — by having time absorbed away from me. That’s the deepest core of hello world, and that part has never changed.”

Here's one of my favorite editions, available at a great price on the secondary market.
'light' by one of the early pioneers of generative art, @hansdehlinger.
There are only 50 editions. It was first released on Aug 7, 2023, in collaboration with @proof_xyz, as part of their Grail series.
We are improving the collector experience on Raster every single day.
Alongside performance optimisations and small bug fixes, here's what we shipped this week:
• Dark mode (toggle in footer)
• More art: tokens from the following platforms are now indexed and mapped to artist profiles: @opensea Shared Storefront, @QuantumNFT, @typed_art, @gen_dot_art
• New media formats: PDF and text file
• Marketplace integration: objkt v1 and v3

PRESENTING CURATED EDITION OF SPIRALPROJEKT
Anika Meier @postanika recommended the following renowned artists for the Curated Edition of SPIRALPROJEKT which is presented for the first time next week at ArtMeta’s Digital Art Mile in Basel, organized by @artmetaofficial.
– The Irish conceptual artist Kevin Abosch @kevinabosch was asked because he works across traditional mediums as well as with generative methods including machine learning and blockchain technology.
– Mario Klingemann @quasimondo was an obvious choice because this artist is known for his curiosity and because his preferred tools are neural networks, code and algorithm.
– It was a matter of the heart to ask the journalist and media expert Susanne Päch @SusannePaech. She manages Art Meets Science and the estate of her husband Herbert W. Franke, whom Betha Sarasin and Markus Ganz met in 1982 at the Ars Electronica Festival.
– What connects Hans Dehlinger @hansdehlinger with Sarasin and Ganz is that they all began to explore computers and pen-plotters artistically in the late 1970s. Early works from him and Betha Sarasin were shown 2024 at the exhibition CODED CUBES at https://t.co/r0golNUe9I gallery in Berlin.
ArtMeta’s The Digital Art Mile, Basel, Switzerland: Presentation of the SPIRALPROJEKT at “4th floor”, Rebgasse 31, Monday 16 June - Sunday 22nd June, 12:00 - 20:00, free entry.

Generative Art show in an old monastery, Bad Saulgau, Germany, May 27 to August 17, 2025
The opening is this Sunday, May 25, 5pm!
Städtische Galerie Fähre
Altes Kloster Bad Saulgau
If it wasn't for @hansdehlinger I wouldn't even have had the courage to take this project to second base. Now we're opening the fourth #genart exhibition with interfaces@7pc in #badsaulgau@r1b2art and @moodsoup are with me but you're still missing @pointline_ ;]
As part of our Artist Highlight series, we focus today on @hansdehlinger, one of the early pioneers of generative art. His algorithmically generated pen plotter drawings are produced by computer code and executed mechanically. In his art, he often uses the potential of simple lines to generate both delicate and dense visual structures.
On May 12, I'll return to Stetten im Remstal, my place of birth, for this event. It's part of an event series about people born in Stetten and where their lives have led them. It'll be in German and mostly about my life. I'll show some art on the 2x6m screen as well.
This is the work currently shown in Guangzhou. The height of the vertical "beams" is determined by the varying spaces between the small horizontal lines. So each "beam" runs as high as what all the small spaces in it add up to.

Electric Op opened at @MuseeArtsNantes with a huge turnout of about 600 attendees. Not only is electronic art in the museum - people want to see it!!!
Very carefully curated show including a great tryout section. Thrilled to see the work MOIRÉ-29.08.12 by @hansdehlinger in it.

This is the program of the conference in Dresden in case anyone is interested or close by - the main talk is open to the public: https://t.co/2ciFovVzpS
Dear all, here are some updates:
I'll be in Dresden March 20/21 for the 12th conference of the DGfGG (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Geometrie und Grafik). The topic: Abstraktion + Anschauung. My friend Albrecht Wintterlin (pictured) is co-organizer and will moderate my session.
As you may know, Anika Meier @postanika has recently stepped away from Expanded Art. With that, the representation by the gallery has ended. I thank Anika for the two years that we have worked together and wish her the best.
