Mein früherer Kollege vom Max-Planck-Institut für Plasmaphysik hält einen Vortrag über Fusionsenergie bei den "Highlights der Physik" in Kiel - vor vollem Haus!
Congratulations to Frank Eisenhauer from @MPE_Garching who is awarded the 2023 Instrument Development Award for his outstanding contributions to the development of innovative complex infrared instruments for ground-based telescopes #ag2023berlin
Astronomers may have spotted the first single Baryon Acoustic Oscillation -- a sonic bubble created shortly after the Big Bang, now frozen into the structure of the universe.
Astonishing work by @DanielPomarede, Brent Tully, and team. https://t.co/y4DiDduyP6
@Dr_ThomasZ Hi Thomas, nice to hear from you. So far the finding both of early galaxies and early black holes is fully in line with the primordial black hole expectations we predicted before the JWST launch. However, quantitative comparisons are still neccessary.
I wonder, why so many people completely ignore the possibility that Dark Matter is made of primordial black holes. Even if you do not believe in it, you should st least discuss it and say so!
We still don’t understand the nature of dark matter nearly a century after its discovery. For @NautilusMag, @PaulMattSutter writes about the current state of dark matter research — what we know, and what we don’t.

@WKCosmo I know, and I wrote and co-authored a few of them myself. I am, however, referring to popular literature, where they are often basically ignored. Like e.g. @NautilusMag, @PaulMattSutter claim to write about the current state of dark matter research, ignoring PBH.
A privilege to be here in Orlando with so many of the people who painstakingly designed & constructed the mission to deliver on its ambitious scientific goals- it’s been a long road but with any luck @ESA_Euclid will soon be well on its way !
Absolutely fascinating result on gravitational wave background from merging supermassive black holes. Congratulations to the international teams of scientists. This is one of the top research areas, which the new @astrozentrum will embark on!

My final neighborhood run in McLean after 6+ years here. The movers are scheduled and we are ready for new homes and new goals. See you soon, Park City, see you soon Zürich 🇺🇸🇨🇭
