I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW (who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to lack of viewership and credibility!), and Politico (The recipients of an illegal and ridiculous $8 Million Dollar subscription, an All Time Record, directly from the United States Government, under Crooked Joe Biden, in order to keep them “alive.” Seems like corruption to me!), from the White House as a result of their constant “reporting” FAKE NEWS! Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America. Other Fake News Media Outlets to follow. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
I have known @RubenVardanyan_ for years. The charges brought up against him are completely false and absurd. The international community must act now to secure his release and of all Armenian POWs unjustly held in Azerbaijan. #FreeRubenVardanyan#HumanRights#FreeArmenianPOWs
From his prison cell, Ruben Vardanyan’s call for true and lasting peace
Despite more than 500 days of illegal imprisonment, Ruben Vardanyan's voice remains unbroken as he advocates for a peace grounded in fundamental human values, based on dignity, creating a foundation for genuine coexistence in the South Caucasus. Vardanyan sent an audio message from the Baku isolation ward through his family, requesting that the phone conversation be recorded and made public. He calls for a “real, stable, long-term peace – not just on a paper, but one that is sustainable and is adhered to by all people”.

BREAKING: Armenian Political Prisoner Ruben Vardanyan’s Health Deteriorates as Sham Trial Continues in Azerbaijan
➖➖➖
Today, on February 26, 2025, one week after launching a hunger strike to protest his sham trial, Armenian-Christian political prisoner Ruben Vardanyan’s health has sharply deteriorated, yet Azerbaijani authorities continue to force him to attend court proceedings, reports Zartonk Media.
On February 19, 2025, Former Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) State Minister Ruben Vardanyan courageously launched his hunger strike in protest of the political show trial being carried out against him and other Armenian-Christian political prisoners in Azerbaijan. Vardanyan, who has spent over 500 days in arbitrary detention, faces politically motivated charges and a trial rife with egregious violations of due process.
Despite his deteriorating health and repeated requests for a postponement, Vardanyan’s trial proceeded uninterrupted yesterday. His blood pressure reached a dangerously high 140/110 (“Stage 2” hypertension), requiring urgent medical attention. He has lost 6 kilograms (13.2 pounds) so far, his pulse is abnormally high, and he appeared exhausted and on several occasions came close to passing out.
Despite these serious medical concerns, he was still brought before the judicial panel of the Baku Military Court in another proceeding that was secret and closed to the public. Given his condition, Defense Counsel filed an initial motion to postpone the hearing, and the judicial panel allowed a break for him to be examined by a state doctor. However, that doctor only reported her observations privately, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the medical assessment. The judicial panel rejected the first motion to postpone the proceedings and four more made at various intervals, asserting that it was safe for Ruben to participate as long as he remained seated during the hearing.
Under Rule 27 of the Nelson Mandela Rules, “[a]ll prisons shall ensure prompt access to medical attention in urgent cases.” To compel Ruben to participate in this proceeding while facing serious threats to his health and safety at a minimum constitutes cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment or punishment.
Jared Genser, Vardanyan’s international legal counsel, issued the following statement: “I urge international organizations with access to the Azerbaijan prisoners to request access to Ruben on an urgent basis. And I call on the Government of Azerbaijan to allow a doctor from our international team to visit him in prison, to immediately provide all necessary medical care, including regular monitoring of his condition, that he needs, and to postpone the trial through the remainder of his hunger strike."

Does the brain change during pregnancy? You bet it does. How about doing 26 MRI scans on a single person pre-conception to 2 years post-partum. WOW! Laura Pritschet and colleagues nailed it with their new paper in @NatureNeuro.
Key Points:
- The authors point out that pregnancy is a period of profound hormonal and physiological changes.
- The authors did something incredible by mapping neuroanatomical changes in an individual from preconception through two years postpartum.
- Boom! There were pronounced decreases in gray matter volume and cortical thickness.
- There were increases in white matter microstructural integrity, ventricle volume and cerebrospinal fluid.
- There were few regions untouched by the 'transition to motherhood.'
My take: This study shows us how a single brain in a single person can be a powerful resource when scanned serially over time. This method is hard to pull off, however what it has the potential to teach us about neuroscience is mind-blowing. Though this paper is only a single subject, the data provides a comprehensive map of the human brain across gestation. It will be interesting to add to the dataset, so we can understand changes across multiple persons and multiple conditions. The convergence of evidence is revealing that pregnancy as associated with dramatic neuroplasticity. How about a shout out to this 38-year-old woman who underwent 26 MRI scans along with blood draws from 3 weeks preconception through 2 years postpartum!

A great example on how to reach an excellence by @JamesClear "Atomic Habits"
1/ On the first day of class, Jerry Uelsmann, a professor at the University of Florida, divided his film photography students into two groups.
Congrats to my friend and colleague Guosong Hong for his stunning and original discovery, published today in Science, on clearing tissues *in living animals* with a common food dye!
The dye is tartrazine, used in Doritos!

6/ Meanwhile, the quality group sat around speculating about perfection. In the end, they had little to show for their efforts other than unverified theories and one mediocre photo
5/ During the semester, these students were busy taking photos, experimenting with composition and lighting, testing out various methods in the darkroom, and learning from their mistakes. In the process of creating hundreds of photos, they honed their skills.
