Bhai i worked in both IT and banks , and i know the difference. After college i worked for 2 years in IT and later on joined bank, still have many friends working it IT so know the difference. You cherry picked one case. I can also, narrate a similar story of my friend who only has to go office in gurgaon for 6 days in month, remaining WFH , and 5 days a week. Whereas i leave my home at 8 morning to reach bank before 10 and then reach home after 9 pm daily.

Sure bhai. Ap jaha kaam karte ho na un courts ka to pucho hi mat. Sabse jyada holidays that too after soo much pending cases. Last week i was attending a court in delhi and what i saw was , there is a honb’l judge then the reader , then a typist who was writing order , then there were 2 staff for documents uploading in the system, then there was 2staff for bringing files to the desk of these staffs and finally there was one staff sitting by gate announcing whose case no is next. Total 8 in single court room. Now compare the staff strength in many branches to this , i know you will come saying that court is different and bank is different but staff strength matters everywhere. Sufficient recruitment would have been good for both customers and employees of the banks but thats not govt wants.

The fight for Five-Day Banking must not be seen merely as a struggle for implementation of an agreement that has remained pending for more than 30 months. This is a fight for our existence, our dignity, our families and our fundamental right to a humane working life.

Public Sector Bank employees serve far more customers than our private-sector counterparts. Even with private banks accounting for a substantial share of the banking market, it is overwhelmingly the Public Sector Banks and their employees who carry the burden of Government-sponsored schemes, financial inclusion, social-sector banking and the last-mile delivery of public policy.

We work for institutions owned by the people and for a Government that expects us to reach every citizen. We have never shied away from that responsibility. But those who expect us to serve the nation must also recognise one simple truth:

We are not robots. We are not machines. We are not AI tools. We are human beings.

We have families waiting for us, children who need our time, parents who need our care, and lives beyond targets, reviews, late-night meetings and relentless workplace pressure.

We are not asking for privilege. We are asking for dignity, balance and justice.

The growing culture of excessive working hours, constant pressure and an increasingly toxic work environment cannot become the new normal. Five-Day Banking is one important step towards restoring humanity to our workplaces.

मेरे प्यारे बैंक,

आज जब मैनेजमेंट और सरकार मुझ पर तोहमतें लगा रही हैं, मुझे सरेआम बदनाम कर रही हैं, तब मेरा दिल छलनी हो रहा है। पर तुम तो मेरे सबसे बड़े साक्षी हो न! मेरी वफादारी और मेरी मेहनत का हर एक कतरा तुम्हारी चौखट पर बिखरा है। तुम्हें तो सब याद ही होगा...

* तुम्हें याद है न जब मैं रात भर तुम्हारे फाइलों के ढेर में जागा रहा और सुबह 4 बजे घर लौटा था? मेरी आँखों में एक पल की नींद नहीं थी। मेरी पत्नी जग रही थी, उसने सूखे चेहरे से पूछा था—"क्या बैंक का काम परिवार से भी बढ़कर है?" मैंने मुस्कराकर कहा था—"यह सिर्फ नौकरी नहीं, मेरा अपना बैंक है।"
* मैंने कभी शाम 5 बजे घर जाने की जल्दी नहीं की। हर दिन 2-3 घंटे ज्यादा दिए ताकि तुम्हारे ग्राहकों का काम न रुके। पर इस चक्कर में मेरे छोटे बेटे का वह स्कूल एनुअल डे छूट गया, जहाँ वह स्टेज पर खड़ा होकर दरवाजे पर मुझे ढूँढता रहा था।
* ऑडिट वाले दिनों में जब 10-10 बजे तक बैठकर मैं एक-एक हिसाब मिलाता था, तब घर पर मेरी माँ ठंडे होते खाने को ढँककर मेरा इंतज़ार करती रहती थी। अपनी सेहत बिगाड़कर क्या मैंने कोई स्वार्थ साधा था।
* जब भी डे-एंड (Day End) में देरी हुई, मैंने कभी झल्लाहट नहीं दिखाई। संयम से बैठकर अतिरिक्त काम निपटाया। घर से मेरी बेटी का फोन आता था—"पापा, आप कब आओगे? मुझे होमवर्क में आपकी मदद चाहिए।" और मैं भारी दिल से कह देता था—"बेटा, बस डे-एंड होने दो, फिर आता हूँ।"
* याद है न जन-धन खातों का वह दौर? हमने पूरे जोश से देश के कोने-कोने तक बैंकिंग पहुँचाने का संकल्प लिया था। रेगुलर काम खत्म करने के बाद, अपनी थकान भुलाकर हम देर रात तक खाते खोलते थे।
* याद है ना नोटबंदी की वे लंबी-लंबी कतारें और घबराए हुए चेहरे... पूरे देश का कैश हमारे हाथों से गिना जाकर RBI की करेंसी चेस्ट पहुँचा था। मेरे हाथ काले पड़ गए थे, पीठ दर्द से टूट रही थी, पर देशहित और तुम्हारे सम्मान के लिए मैंने उफ़ तक नहीं की।
* कोरोना में जब पूरी दुनिया घरों में बंद थी, तब मैं अपनी जान जोखिम में डालकर चौखट पर खड़ा था। मेरे पिता जी रोज़ चिंतित होकर मुझे कहते थे—"बेटा, अपना ख्याल रखना।" मेरे कई सहकर्मियों ने कोरोना में दम तोड़ दिया, फिर भी तुम्हारे दरवाजे बंद नहीं होने दिए।
* जब-जब बैंक को मेरी ज़रूरत पड़ी, मैंने अपनी छुट्टियों की बलि चढ़ाई। कितनी ही बार पत्नी और बच्चों के साथ बाहर जाने के वादे तोड़े हैं। तुम तो साक्षी हो, मेरी हर छुट्टी तुम्हारी ड्यूटी में तब्दील हुई है।
* रविवार और छुट्टियों के दिन जब लोग अपने परिवारों के साथ पार्क और सिनेमाघरों में थे, तब मैं लोक अदालत के कैंपों में एनपीए (NPA) रिकवरी के लिए पसीना बहा रहा था।
* तुम्हारे डिजिटल फुटप्रिंट गवाह हैं कि जब-जब कनेक्टिविटी फेल हुई, सिस्टम क्रैश हुआ, मैंने अपनी रातें काली करके क्राइसिस मैनेज किया है। अपनी नींद खोकर तुम्हारे सिस्टम को चालू रखा।
* HRMS का रिकॉर्ड उठाकर देख लो, कितनी बार ऐसा हुआ है कि अप्रूव्ड लीव (स्वीकृत छुट्टी) बीच में छोड़कर मुझे वापस लौटना पड़ा। मेरी पत्नी के इलाज के लिए ली गई छुट्टी हो या परिवार के साथ बिताने के पल, मैंने हर चीज़ से ऊपर तुम्हें रखा।

यह सब बातें मुझे कहनी नहीं चाहिए थीं, पर आज जब मेरी ही वफादारी, मेरे चरित्र और मेरे ईमान पर सवाल उठाया जा रहा है, तो मेरा कलेजा मुँह को आता है।

अगर बैंक मैनेजमेंट और सरकार में तिनका भर भी नैतिकता और शर्म बाकी है, तो अपने ही कर्मचारियों को नीचा दिखाने और बदनाम करने वाले ये घटिया विज्ञापन तुरंत बंद करे और पूरे देश के सामने सार्वजनिक माफीनामा जारी करे।

So bank management is doing right by blaming and opening a troll campaign against their own employees. These managements doing this soo openly on all social media , imagine to what extent they go in meetings and internal agendas. That’s the real stress every employee is talking about. Daily weekly monthly Targets for each and every little thing even with minimal staff in branches. One has to do everything thing. If denied , face their wrath in form of Transfers and accountability.
और संवाद कबसे चल रहा है । ढाई साल से लिखित में है एवं माँग उससे भी पुरानी । कब तक चलेगा संवाद । जब कर्मचारी के लिए TAT होता है तो इनके लिए क्यों नहीं। या ये कोई पंचवर्षीय योजना है तो वो बता दिया जाए। कुछ तो जवाब मिले।

लेकिन आज जब वहीं बैंक कर्मी जब काम के बोझ के तले दबकर डिप्रेशन का शिकार हो रहा और सुसाइड कर रहा तो लोगों ने मुंह में फेवी क्विक डाल रखी है।

@kapsology Bhai kisi bhi banker ko agar janta ho dur ki pehchan me bhi to ek bar usse puch lo, last year uski kitni leave approve hui hai. And public holidays are state wise, some having 10-11. Some 15-16 and these holidays are for all govt departments not only for banks.
