Peoples’ right to information was a key highlight of 2024 Lok Sabha elections- from a successful fight against anonymous electoral bonds to the struggle for disclosure of voter turnout data. New govt must roll back regressive amendments to RTI Act & dismantle the opaque PMCARES.

माता पिता को
हम परिवार से दूर वृद्धाश्रम में छोड़दते हैं वजह चाहे बीवी हो पति हो या घर में जगह कम हो

Senior Citizens are going through tough times...till the neighbours and the housing society members dont take a proactive step to intervene when they see such abuses, report the crime & make a big hullabaloo about the whole incidents, sch crimes wl go un noticed and unreported
Visuals of a rescue operation show Gurpreet Singh of Manukhta Di Sewa Society NGO, along with Punjab Police, visiting the residence of Adv Ankur Verma to rescue an elderly woman. In the video, he can be seen apologizing and saying that he will now take care of his mother. It’s truly shameful for a son to act in such a manner.
Shocking: The police have rescued a 73-year-old woman from her own home after her daughter alleged that she was being tortured by the victim’s son and his wife. Ankur Verma, a lawyer from Ropar, his wife Sudha, and a juvenile were seen mercilessly assaulting the elderly woman in video clips handed over to the police by Deepshikha, the daughter of the victim, Asha Rani. The police have arrested Advocate Verma, registering a case under Sections 327, 342, and 323 of the IPC, as well as Section 24 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act.
Retweet this if you agree that tolls at Dahisar, Vashi, Airoli and Mulund must be immediately suspended until the roads are fixed.
Can we get 10000 RTs?
Feel free to call it armchair activism.
If we don't demand it, we won't get it either.
Just keep suffering, Mumbaikars.
