@Alexand47375137 It allows organizations such as the Red Cross to reach people around the world, and because of that they have the ability to help more people
@JZazzo @allitheriault Its important to realize that no one is perfect and that most people only post the best pictures (they may have taken 100 to get that 1 good one) and while they may seem happy, that doesn't mean thats how they actually feel. The point is that many people put on a persona online
@BenSobhan@Ben21Sar@CatherinePaler5@cass_educ307 People often use social media to create a persona for themselves, which is usually quite different from how they actually feel or act off screen
@kaylankautzky18 I don't see a problem with allowing kids to watch Disney movies as long as the parents have a conversation with them about the things they may see and hear in the films
@JZazzo I totally agree, I think first the teachers should be educated and then they can give students the proper information they need before they explore social media
@bal_inderpal@kaylankautzky18 The only thing with texting is that I find sometimes it can be hard to set the right tone and the recipient may think you mean something else
@bal_inderpal @PreddieKevin I agree, it makes connecting with others so much easier, whether it be long distant relationships or just connecting with a group in a setting where everyone can share their input at the same time. It also provides a platform for people to get involved
@Sellas_Amanda I agree, I think social media provides a great platform for those who feel that their opinions aren't listened to or valued in their society.
@bal_inderpal It is important to deconstruct the things we see and hear to form our own opinions and not feed in to the messages they are trying to give us
@Sellas_Amanda I agree, but I also think it is important for parents to limit the usage. I have seen so many young kids playing on phones or tablets instead of playing outside and building social skills
