@RepRalphNorman What will you do for those in your state who aren't getting paid right now? They still have bills and need to keep gas in the car to go to work. This shutdown needs to end. Y'all should be working on that every day and not fussing about the other side.

@SenateGOP There shouldn't be any breaks until the government is open again. Congress members have money and don't live paycheck to paycheck like most of the workers that are not getting paid right now. It's time to put America first and stop holding your citizens hostage.

@RepNancyMace Not just military. There are federal prison officers that will go without as well. Many of them have to drive an hour or more to get to work. Something needs to be done where shutdowns won't affect those who are not responsible for it.

@henrymcmaster I can't even use our central heat because the electric/gas company is charging outrageous prices. Who can honestly afford a 6 or 7 hundred dollar electric bill on top of rising grocery prices too?

@RepMikeCollins There should be no reason to shut down the government. You should not hold federal employees' pay as ransom for Congress's lack of work ethic. You all have had months to figure it out. So figure it out. No one should be able to leave until you come to an agreement.
