Am 24. August, dem ukrainischen Unabhängigkeitstag, werden Merz, Macron und Burnham ein Treffen der „Koalition der Willigen“ mit Selenskyj leiten, für das einige Teilnehmer in Kyjiw sein werden und andere online dabei. Hoffentlich ist die Koalition der Willigen zu etwas gewillt.

Mit den ukrainischen Beschuldigten im Fall Nord Stream 2 werden die Diskussionen um russische hybride Angriffe gegen uns sicher nicht einfacher. Die Fakten auf der Reihe zu haben, hilft aber auch hier.

Nord Stream 2 ist keine deutsche Infrastruktur sondern wird durch eine Schweizer Betreibergesellschaft (Nord Stream 2 AG mit Sitz in Zug) betrieben und ist 100% Eigentum des russischen Staatskonzerns Gazprom.

Nord Stream 2 diente nie der deutschen Energieversorgung. Nord Stream 2 wurde nie zertifiziert. Im Februar 2022 verkündete Olaf Scholz, dass die Bundesregierung den Zertifizierungsprozess stoppt und dass Nord Stream 2 nicht in Betrieb gehen wird, im September 2022 erfolgte der Anschlag.

Es geht also um einen Angriff auf Infrastrukturen in der Ausschließlichen Wirtschaftszone Deutschlands (und Dänemarks) in der Ostsee, aber nicht darum, dass irgendwer eine "günstige Energieversorgung" für Deutschland zerstört hätte.

At a time when millions of Americans are finding it harder to pay for groceries, housing and healthcare, when the climate crisis is causing record heatwaves and forest fires, Donald Trump felt it appropriate tonight to spew conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.

Pathetically, in true authoritarian fashion, he even threatened to revoke the licenses of ABC and NBC because they would not cover his speech. Insane.

Too many Americans have fought and died to defend American democracy.

All of us, regardless of our political views, must stand together against this dangerous president who is seeking to undermine our Constitution and our basic freedoms.

One sharp, direct, personal question. No fluff. No softball.

Rutte’s answer? The usual smooth deflection to Ukraine, Russia, and alliance unity.

In an era where most press conferences feel like theater, this moment cuts through.

Last night, FP-5 Flamingo missiles successfully struck the Titan-Barrikady facility in Volgograd. It is a major industrial complex where the enemy produces artillery systems and specialized military equipment, including components for missile launch systems used in attacks against our people. Confirmed strikes were followed by a fire on the plant's premises. I thank the warriors of our Defense Forces for their precision.

The reach of Ukraine's long-range sanctions continues to expand. And it is precisely our pressure, day after day, that lays the groundwork for a dignified peace in the end. I am grateful to every Ukrainian engineer and warrior who is making our long-range capabilities possible. Glory to Ukraine!

Targets were also struck in the Rostov region and in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
