@dustinbattles my dad always carried a Pilot Better Retractable
Ball Point Pen and now I do too.
Haven't used one personally, but @ugmonk has good stuff: https://t.co/w6wb2uV5TW
@brannonmc I may have to try something like that. my role changed recently and, so far, it seems more conducive to a regular workflow. We're entrenched in Microsoft, so I've been trying the built-in To Do app which at least plays pretty nicely with email.
As someone who currently manufactures products in the US, here's some insight:
Our cost is 200-800% higher to make our products here vs overseas.
We work with 20+ different US mfg and struggle with endless quality issues, missed deadlines, and rising costs.
Tariffs aren't going to make new factories magically open overnight. And if they did, they aren't going to make costs go down.
There's a lot of people saying "Just make it in the USA" but it's apparent they've never actually tried to make something here.
I'm not sure where we go from here, but hopefully this gives some context.
this year, as a thank you, the church sent my mom home with 2 huge bags of fresh bagels for our church family here! They made a delightful addition to coffee fellowship this morning
the full story is actually pretty cool. For several years, our church in Greenville has been able to share VBS materials & decorations with my sister's church in NYC. My parents championed the endeavor, travelling to deliver supplies and help with VBS.
