The @Conservative_BC actually received 50,000 fewer votes than in 2024 (but won 20 more seats) because the @bcndp vote dropped by 275.000 (29%) while the @BCGreens got 23,000 more votes than last time (+13%) - still some ballots to be counted.
@SachaPeter Congratulations @SachaPeter on your victory, and thank you for showing civility by acknowledging your opponents. Unfortunately, your predecessor did not extend that courtesy, so I want to make an extra effort to recognize yours.
Thank you for being a good sport.
@takamiko1228@SachaPeter@LDoerkson No, I will take the responsibility. My team did their best, what ever @Dave_Eby did is his own choice. I need to be responsible for my own riding campaign.
congratulations @SachaPeter as the MLA elect for Richmond Centre and @LDoerkson as the next Premier. Thank you Lawrence Chen and Calvin Dang for running as well.
It was a disappointing defeat and I know my team did their best. The defeat is mine alone.
Thank you everyone.
@YvrFrank Unlike many Conservative candidates who ran in both the provincial and municipal elections, I took all appropriate steps to withdraw from the mayoral race and ran only in the provincial election.
@billchow747 There is a lot of misinformation, so instead of arguing, I thought it might be easier to share this 2024 article from the Richmond News. I hope it helps. Please feel free to reach out or stop by the office—I would love to have a chat.

A quick reminder for people who have not yet voted: advance voting for Richmond Centre riding is now available at A.R. MacNeill and Richmond Secondaries.
Lorne Doerkson knows his plan will cost you - so he's hiding from questions about it again today.
He's holding private fundraisers instead, and promising his donors things that aren't in his platform.
Doerkson's hidden plan: healthcare cuts and higher costs.
As in the 2024 provincial, “vote for the party, not the candidate” slogan is circulating on Chinese social media again. Both matter. This slogan raises an uncomfortable question: can these candidates withstand scrutiny of their own records?
Why does Lorne Doerkson have an open separatist in his inner circle?
He's thanked Michael Henshall by name in the legislature. Meanwhile, Henshall is organizing for BC to join Alberta's separatist movement.
Incredibly, @heathermaahs is defending her position on blackface. Shows exactly why Lorne barred her from going to her last local debate but let Warbus go
I'm glad the rest of BC has noticed @HeatherMaahs and her awful views.
One thing that's been missed: her blog post supporting a slave auction in a school, and **putting a student in blackface** in school productions of To Kill a Mockingbird. #bcpoli
How many people behind Trump have had to take out a loan to pay for care?
You keep your for-profit system and we’ll keep ours public.
Yet another reason why we need to reduce our overdependence on US trade, and fast.
