Imagine Sen. Eric Schmitt R-MO thinking he had a 'gotcha' moment at a hearing with Jack Smith - "I think you've already perjured yourself" - and it turns out his staff doesn't know the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes - unbelievable.

I was born in 1995, I figured some of you folks would get a kick out of this and take a trip back down memory lane. No traffic, roads rode fantastic, and the strip was the strip.
@WinterSportsLaw Senate Dems should have never let a Pac12 state’s Senator be their lead co-sponsor. @SenSchumer should have swapped in an SEC or b1g Senator.
While Democrats are favored to flip the House in November, it is by no means a done deal.
In the link in the tweet below this one, I've created an ActBlue link where you can split donations between the 26 Democratic House candidates where your money can make the biggest impact.
How did I decide on the 26 districts? I spent a bunch of hours deep diving on each district's:
— Qualitative race ratings from @CookPolitical, @InsideElections & @Center4Politics
— Quantitative odds of Democrats winning each district based on models from @SplitTicket_ & @VoteHub
— Candidate fundraising (total raised to date, Q1 2026, Q2 2026, latest reported cash on hand), per @FEC
— 2024 & 2020 presidential election results along current district lines, per @davesredist & @downballotnews
— Race/ethnicity of voting age population (as of 2020), per @davesredist
— Three-way educational attainment (as of 2022), per @davesredist
— Three-way household income (as of 2022), per @davesredist
I took my own subjectivity out of the equation by setting benchmarks (at least 40% chance of Democrats winning per average of @SplitTicket_ & @VoteHub, average qualitative rating of Toss-Up or Republicans slightly favored, cash on hand and total raised thresholds, etc.).
Which is why you see candidates on here across the ideological spectrum within the party — from moderates like Jared Moskowitz & Johnny Garcia to progressive-left candidates like Will Lawrence & Randy Villegas.
So, in other words, this includes some candidates I'm not personally a huge fan of, but it's not about me. It's about optimizing donations to ensure Democrats flip the House and win as big of a majority as possible.
Yesterday, my wife underwent an emergency appendectomy. While she is doing well, I will be home helping with recovery. During this time, I will likely miss a few votes and committee hearings.
There’s still work to be done before the Senate departs for August recess, and my office is still hard at work. I will be back on Capitol Hill as soon as I can be.
