Introducing S1, our new foundation model that learns from one example.
It can be taught 10-minute long tasks that it has never seen before, from one video prompt without any fine-tuning.
Watch S1 operate in real-time via in-context learning:
Learned about remote controlled animals today. Brain Computer Interfaces like @neuralink should also be able to take external inputs and commands, theoretically. Huge if true!!
Cyber risks would become biological ones too in a cyborg future?

"How to Do Great Work" (https://t.co/Bs2gq7bSkJ) was like this. It's supposed to be a complete description of the intersection of the principles for doing great work in different fields. And the intersection's big too. I doubt I'll ever have to work so hard on another essay.
@signulll Bezos said "If you get it right, a few years after a surprising invention, the new thing has become normal. People yawn. And that yawn is the greatest compliment an inventor can receive."
Them: Billionaires should do more for society!!
Billionaires: Okay, here's $10m for a Linux nonprofit to make the prophecy of desktop liberation come true!
Them: NO, NOT LIKE THAT!!! 😡😡😡

Uhh, I have been studying and playing with signals based presence detection. This video explains it well https://t.co/WwKxsvc5ZY. There is also a very primitive GitHub repo called RuView if you are interested in doing it for less than a 100$ using ESP32. It needs lots of polishing though.
God’s Eye View V1 is open source. It feels like a spy simulator in your browser -- except the underlying data is real, and you can talk to the planet too.
Track planes, ships, satellites, traffic cameras, and critical infrastructure. Use voice mode to ask what’s happening, annotate the 3D world, or jump into a plane’s cockpit.
Already a ton to explore. Code is MIT licensed, so add new layers, extend the voice agent, break things, and show me what you cook.

@ScienceExpand It is beautiful see the spark and joy in their eyes because of science. Science and technology are truly the only magic we have access to.
Why did OpenAI choose to snoop at Apple’s material science research instead of generating it themselves?
Do they know something about limitations that we don’t?
i can’t believe ppl voluntarily walk around with louis vuitton or chanel logos or some other stupid “luxury brand” plastered across their glasses, bags, & clothes. paying thousands of dollars to become a corporate billboard might be the tackiest form of status signaling ever invented. even subtle logos on backpacks & workout gear are tacky.
i personally never ever wear logos, every single one of my clothing items & my shoes are completely without a logo.
the only logo i will ever wear or showcase is a brand i create personally.
We actually aren’t that far behind.
Why:
- the Chinese humanoids are similarly as unsafe as most of the US players— in fact I think the US is the only country that has a safe humanoid at a competitive BOM that can beat out China. So on hardware— we are ahead.
- the embodiment gap from a CN bot to a human is wide AF. players like Unitree simplified the problem to make RL locomotion research bots that are pretty nerfed tbh… I don’t see many if any CN bots that have 70+ DOF across body & hands in a single system. They lean on things like the humanoid Olympics showing off all that wedging with locomotion can bring to fruition… this to me feels like the EV problem Where everyone tried to solve one chunk of the problem and 1 player said fuck it— let’s just do it all (ai, hardware, induction motors, batteries, etc etc) and that turned out to be the path… I think the robot closest to human with the lowest BOM wins out in the end… I also think the US is the only country with a hope here.
And tbh, this was just a really long 1X ad in the depths of your replies.
What China has done right is ship.
We need to ship now.
We will ship now (ish + a couple months).
The game just started. Don’t ever lose hope. The west will win again.
