“'School choice is a litmus test for Republicans,' said Jason Huffman, state director for West Virginia’s chapter of @AFPWV. The group is backing candidates who will defend the state’s school choice laws, he said."
New from me: School choice, vouchers fuel nearly $3 million spending spree in West Virginia statehouse races from 3 outside groups.
Much of the money is coming from out-of-state donors. https://t.co/ikwrAA2Qxb
Expressing pleasure at the repeal of the Stamp Act, Samuel Adams writes: “when we look back upon the many dangers from which our country hath, even from its first settlement, been delivered […] we are sensibly struck with an admiration of Divine goodness. […] For true patriots to be silent, is dangerous.”
We’re making leaps and bounds from a policy perspective. But we still face the worst socioeconomic headwinds in the nation. We have to work twice as hard as any other state to grow the economy. Just means there’s more work to do. $15B in recent private sector investment tells us we’re getting there.
Good point from WV Senate Leadership consultant John Findlay today. The vast majority of senate candidates endorsed by @WVaChamber lost their primary race. “You were better off NOT being endorsed by the chamber.”
Instead of owning their failure to defeat conservative incumbent senators, the chamber is doubling down by attacking conservative grassroots activists.
It’s high time the business community asked the democrat operatives running the state chamber some tough questions.
@wvu999 In my decade of serving as @AFPWV’s State Director, our organization has played a key role in passing some of the most transformational, pro-growth bills this state has seen. Not once did the chamber help in any meaningful way. They are dead weight.
Tell Congress: Repeal the Jones Act! American families are paying more for groceries, fuel, and everyday essentials, and a 100-year-old shipping law is one of the reasons. Support President Trump by sending your letter and urge your lawmakers to support permanently repealing the Jones Act!
With Election Day behind us, @MorriseyWV has called for the party to unite around proven reforms to help every West Virginian thrive. This is what Mountaineers expect.
Pretty wild to see the @WVaChamber, who failed to even engage in state judicial races, try to ham-handedly deflect blame onto the @WVGOP.
Instead of owning their mistakes, the increasingly out-of-touch chamber would rather keep up their wrongheaded, impotent attack on conservatives.
West Virginia businesses deserve better than feeble excuses and scapegoats.
“Every vote matters. A slight majority of the West Virginia Republican State Executive Committee made the decision to undo 40 years of precedent and exclude unaffiliated voters from its primary. That decision had a major impact on the top judicial races in our state.”

@OperaStrange@WVaChamber@WVGOP Unsurprised to see the radical left come to the defense of the democrat-run chamber. You all want the same thing: conservatives out of government. Unfortunately for you, the voters continue to vehemently disagree.
While bureaucrats process paperwork, West Virginians are waiting for care. CON laws force providers to get government permission before they can expand services or open new facilities—a process that can drag on for months or even years. Patients deserve better.
