So proud to be part of a union that supports contract workers in their fight for equal treatment, dignity and respect. As @AlphabetWorkers and @HuffpostCAUnion have shown, companies like Google and BuzzFeed should still be held accountable when they contract out work.
“HuffPost contractors deserve the same status & benefits as perm. employees. They’ve made invaluable contributions to the brand & must be awarded the same securities as everyone. Not to do so is cruel & arbitrary. It’s time to take a stand against these unfair labour practices.”
Contract workers are tired of being treated like second class citizens. @HuffpostCAUnion is drawing a line in the sand and demanding that @BuzzFeed do the right thing.

The HuffPost Canada Union demands @BuzzFeed:
-Provides both contractors with severance;
-Offers compensation to long-tenured employees that reflects their years of service;
-Not further delay the negotiation process on these issues.
