Overall plan:
Bullish on BTC above all else. Far and away the largest part of my portfolio. Only thing safe enough to put a majority of your net worth in and forget about.
@NathanielGivens@HalfLivedLife otherwise distance of the bottleneck to the zipper is irrelevant on a median basis, but will allow more aggressive drivers shorter wait time at the expense of less aggressive drivers, which is why this behavior pisses people off
@NathanielGivens@HalfLivedLife So yes, if the line is backed up so far that it goes past an exit, and there is someone trying to exit that is instead caught in a line of people waiting to go through a bottleneck, you improve throughput by zipper merging at a later moment
@doktor_DeFi@14west1@CollinRugg I'm not saying its not the largest safety concern, just that you're surrounded by water and you're catering to high net worth people who will be willing to pay more for more sophisticated integrated firefighting tech to have appliances, they can figure it out
@paulg well yeah
if you could trust everyone to be honest and ethical, you can justify giving money to much wider groups of people with no profit incentive and trust that they'll do the right thing for its own sake
and that's what the difference in governance philosophy is, at its core
@doktor_DeFi@14west1@CollinRugg Think of this like a high rise with amenities, why do you need housekeeping?
condos have their own washing machines
Fires are a lower risk here than in high rises with some reasonable design choices that don't involve banning all applicances
@johnarnold or you can just do it and ask your children not to sue?
and if they do anyway, then you're fucked bc you didn't raise your children well and now your name will be a family name known for suing charities
@gfodor every time I see this kind of a depresso post with an elite programmer doubting their edge...
look at your last 10 prompts. do you know anyone else who could have written those? did they take any skill?
