@sundhaug92 @spaztron64 Speeding up the emulator is a work in progress, but it's 3x faster than it was when i picked up the codebase. On OpenVMS I measure ~30 VUPS versus the 10-11 VUPS it was when I started. I have JIT branches in the wings, but not yeeeeet functional.

In an elevated command prompt: (secureboot must be off)
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off
or
bcdedit.exe /set testsigning on (will install test signed drivers without warning, will install unsigned w/warning)

macOS indeed does have similar restrictions.
That's a development disablement workflow I showed, but the other methods can be made permanent. Windows allows it PERFECTLY FINE. macOS is *more* restrictive. (I'm a macOS fleet admin)

Remember why macOS is doing away with KEXTs over time and Extensions require signing, too? To ensure its unmodified. My linux fleet requires signed kernel modules.... for security

@JerpaDerpa @shanselman @mxursault You can load unsigned drivers all you want. https://t.co/3xSwGcAYeb - nothing is stopping you. You can also use test signing to sign locally as well so that you don't need disable signing enforcement (local to only that machine). Other official methods exist too.

It appears @Microsoft is actively suspending developer accounts with no warning or reason of various security tools like VeraCrypt, WireGuard and also Windscribe. We've had this VERIFIED account for 8+ years to sign our drivers.

We've been trying to resolve this for over a month, and getting nowhere. Support is non-existent. Anyone know a human with a brain that still works at Microsoft and can help?
