I can't think of a more man baby quote than saying "I'll be criticized - what's new" to try to alibi yourself while doing something you know is wrong. Unbelievably pathetic. I have more respect for the unapologetic fascists and pricks.
The Dodgers aren’t special, they aren’t “the best run organization in baseball” They have a special deal from MLB that enables them to financially cheat and spend nearly twice what any other team could
All of the breathless complimenting of the Dodgers completely ignores that the Dodgers are only able to spend like this because MLB gave them a special TV carveout after the McCourt Bankruptcy
They are the only 1 of 30 MLB teams that doesn’t have to fully share their TV revenue
They also happen to have the largest local TV contract
This is the only reason they can spend like they do
MLB created this entire situation and sees an opportunity to use it to finally try to get a cap
We don’t need a cap, all MLB needs to do is revoke this settlement and nationalize all TV Rights. Just stop giving the Dodgers the ability to cheat
Any team can be great when you have enough to spend that you can burn $110M/yr in salary and luxury tax on Kyle Tucker while he has the worst season of his career and not feel it.
They have Snell, Glasnow and half of their most expensive pitchers injured now for more of the season than they’ve been healthy and haven’t even noticed
This is all because MLB gave them a special deal on their TV rights no other team gets
Not Because Dave Roberts and Andrew Friedman are geniuses
Someone is flying around City Hall tail whipping in a little buggy to Olivia Dean’s ‘Man I Need’. Philadelphia is the best city in the world and you can’t convince me otherwise
The number of people gleefully defending shooting a man on the ground with 4 or 5 guys on top of him kicking him and punching him in MN today is disgusting. I covered police shootings. No police dept. in
America could do this and not have a comprehensive hearing/trial afterward.
It’s honestly really funny how both of these QBs are perceived:
For Patrick Mahomes it’s “oh it’s okay you’ve won super bowls in the past so honestly who even cares about this season just have some fun”
For Jalen Hurts it’s “I don’t care that you won a Super Bowl 9 months ago you don’t deserve to be in the NFL, may god come down and bend the storm clouds toward you as if the whole sky has chosen a single soul to destroy”
Jalen Hurts when blitzed -- this season
72.0%, 747 yards, 11 TD, 1 INT, 134.5 rating
Only Sam Darnold has a higher passer rating against the blitz than Hurts (137.7). Only Matthew Stafford has more TD passes when blitzed than Hurts (12).
#Eagles
In his last 23 games, Jalen Hurts has 35 passing TDs, 3 INTs, a 70% completion percentage, a 20-3 overall record, a SB Ring, and a SB MVP and YET, people are still out here trying to discredit him over a bad sack that he took. (Or whatever the new goalpost is this week).
Oh yeah, 1 of those 3 losses came in a game he left in the first quarter (with the lead I might add).
There’s never been a better opportunity is history for an imbecilic hack to end up with power and bonafides. Just fart out posts about how Mr Trump is right about rigged jobs numbers & tariffs being great and you too might be the commissioner of labor statistics.
House Republicans: Voting for cuts to *every single American* on SNAP in exchange for some signed merch.
Voting to starve babies. The disabled. The poor.
And they have the audacity to try to brand this as Christian. What does that word even mean to them? Wearing a necklace?
Penn says Mamdani “is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values” and advises portraying him as having a “limited” connection “to basic American values and culture.”
Oh wait, that’s Penn talking about Barack Obama in 2008.
