this vacation I decided to leave tutorial.
Shipped my first proper well engineered, well documented & w/o AI : URL Shortener in JS.
the code maybe bad, but shipping a working project is all what matters.
I have been stuck in rut for last few months
better days are coming.
@Hi_Mrinal Can you please write a blog covering centralized and meaningful error handling?
Or whatever the process you use to handling errors meaningful such that tracing error is easy and faster
figured out something that works for me.
- its pretty weird that I am noticed brainrot from vibecoded and excessive tutorial consumption during my first year.
- engineering is more about organizing, implementation is last step.
boy-oh I was lacking system & organization skills
alright I learnt a bit of AWS lambda, S3 & dynamoDB.
before thursday
- complete URL shortener backend
- design frontend and integrate
- document it properly with diagrams
after thursday
- design lost and found portal for my campus using AWS
- for cloud&devops lead role in GDG
Slow laptop is teaching me more things than I would've ever discovered or used ,
this time it forced me to learn how to use cURL properly instead of relying on postman with weird bugs.
Seems like neovim is next
Something is seriously off with my ubuntu, with 12gigs ram, only two chrome tabs & single zed IDE window, it's barely usable.
Need to replace ubuntu with cachyos or any other arch-based distribution.
Will keep this for linux + getting a mac for daily use 😋
