Dr. Stephanie Hofer, Superintendent of @SMontgomeryCSC, treasures one of the most meaningful moments of each school year: handing diplomas to graduating seniors at commencement.
Over time, a fun Southmont tradition has developed as seniors present the superintendent with a small gift in exchange for their diploma. From golf balls during her first year as superintendent to marbles and, most recently, rubber ducks from the Class of 2026, the tradition reflects the strong relationships and joyful culture that define Southmont Schools.
Dr. Hofer’s sense of humor, student-centered leadership, and genuine connection with students shine through in moments like these, reminding us that the most memorable traditions are often rooted in relationships. #LeadIAPSS
