Making terrain-text:
1) Get a DEM + sat imagery, here I’m using Google Earth Engine to download both
2) Convert DEM to 8-bit if necessary (I did this in QGIS)
3) Open DEM in Photoshop, use a Levels adjustment layer to see the full black-to-white range
4) Add type atop DEM (serifs look better), convert to smart object, blur + recolor to match DEM’s look; you don’t want it to stand out too much, the shaded relief step will bring it out
5) Disable levels adjustment, save text-DEM as a TIF
6) Use your new DEM to make a shaded relief with @EduardShading
7) Sat image set to soft light 80%, set atop shaded relief
