Update: https://t.co/xXX9MFWgRy is making a lukewarm effort to get me back into my account. I've been bounced from dept to dept and no progress yet, but i am getting occasional emails and that's... something.
@bookingcom I have used https://t.co/VQq8oTU2qC for years and am now stuck in a miserable customer service loop, hence this desperate plea for help.
FOR 9 MONTHS: Cannot reach anyone by phone to help. Emails ignored or punted between departments. Can't log into account.
@bookingcom I understand that you need to obfuscate and put walls around customer support, but the maze of complexity I've gone through to get ZERO support is appalling.
Even in today's environment of awful customer support, this is weak.
Still can't access my account.
@Melt_Dem I am the first to agree that ADHD meds are being overprescribed, but I think you are misunderstanding what ADHD meds are all about if you think people are just tweaking away. There is a reason people use those meds, imperfect as they may be.
@mims Employee/employer trust and sentiment is pretty low right now and this level of remote work is still new. Everyone is feeling out the new rules. Workers quiet quitting and ghosting, bosses using tools to monitor employees, etc. The pendulum will swing for a while, then settle.
@AriDavidPaul Well put. It also feels a little like early 90's when there was a lot of energy for the internet but the killer products and services hadn't been found yet. It's actually bringing me a little relief, painful as it is.
Two possible things we'll see in the near future:
#1) It becomes clear that Musk has no interest in the issue of free speech except as it pertains to himself.
#2) Musk actually attempts to affect social and political change.
I suspect we'll see #1, but I fear we might see #2.
@profgalloway COVID helped turn the already exploding streaming industry into a horse race, with every provider trying to outspend the others and position themselves as more than just a 'streaming service'. Now, the tide is going back out - and we'll see who survives and how much it mattered.
@krugermacro It's an important perspective, and expansion of NATO plus antagonism towards Russia is certainly a real factor in this conflict. But it's just one factor. Even saying that the US is 'largely responsible' for the conflict is hyperbolic and reductionist.
@SamoBurja Because the population of Norway is smaller, richer, and less diverse than at least 10 metro areas in the US. It's easier to do things on a smaller scale with less diverse stakeholders and lots of money.
Another very interesting company in the #VR#AR world is @iTechArt, a NY based SP that help companies develop innovative apps via a dedicated teams of developers. The company is growing more and more in the space. Thanks @ImDaveHecker for the interview. https://t.co/pB1J5mb8Wz
My parents used to pay 50 cents an hour for 14.4kbps internet, it took minutes to connect, and we couldn't use the phone when online. Photos took minutes to load. People who don't remember this have basically no context for where we are in crypto.
