As we have made clear, we will pursue global maritime enforcement efforts to disrupt illicit networks and interdict sanctioned vessels providing material support to Iran—anywhere they operate.

@ABell2019 @MichaelARothman Common/customary law and prior treaties on maritime innocent, transit, and international strait transit predates UNCLOS and remains valid. The US Navy often performs Freedom of Navigation ops to keep the law valid all around the world, signing UNCLOS is unnecessary to enforce it.
