@getjonwithit@thePartyPartyUS Hmm. I’m all for panpsychism but if communication is the our available measure of sentience, wouldn’t it make more sense to say at least humans are sentient, maybe animals, and the rest uncertain?
I’m curious why you want to affirm rocks’ sentience if its untestable/knowable?
@EMakerDragon Ah i see
You could perhaps have jlc send the boards over to pcbway for assembly? Or another service? Multiple services works well and is cheap enough if it’s within china (they’re all very close)

Also maybe that works better
Can do a hidden sscissor design with curved blades
So just squeeze (need a bit of handle but can friction fit
For the spring can cut spiral/curved notches and put a bit of wire or thin strip of metal
@hunterlanier@mito@Iridethedirt You want the multi holed ones, and use shouldered screws to pin in place so they dont wiggle

Or a curved blade

@DanAdvantage@signulll Like 0 growth + dividends is fine because investors invest elsewhere
The real question is: is the 6% return most effectively spent on growing uber, or on whatever their investors would do with it
They are still reinvesting so clearly they think the former (delivery service etc)
@DanAdvantage@signulll Really? I think if they’re public its ok to not grow particularly.
There’s capital which begets capital because it grows in underlying value, but there’s also profit-generating capital. Uber generates 6% profit to market cap, wouldn’t it be fine to just be given as a dividend?
@GaryMarcus You’re thinking about this in somewhat zero-sum terms
If the market expands massively you dont need a monopoly.
Google is a poor comparison because it isnt a cost lowering or automating technology, its a new market. AI is closer to the industrial revolution than internet tech
