Abdallah is our @UNRWA colleague & photojournalist who miraculously survived bombardment in northern #Gaza but got severely injured + lost both legs. While he was in Al-Shifa Hospital, he witnessed the horrors of a 2-weeks long siege by the Israeli Forces, before being moved with great difficulty to #Rafah in Southern #GazaStrip for more treatment.

Abdallah’s journey was extremely painful but he is now safe and will finally receive the lifesaving care he needs.

The Derna valley in eastern #Libya has two dams, one of which is among top 5 of Libya's dams.

Theyre yugoslavian dams built in 1973-1977 and have a huge total reservoir that overflowed due to the rains leading to the collapse of the two dams.
